I'm a UK based Mac user.  My daughter has a new Windows phone so I have created a new Microsoft live account for her, and one for myself.  I've looked through discussion threads and followed all the help options I can find to link these accounts, nothing works.  I'm not prompted for any permissions when I log in using her details even though I've set her date of birth correctly (she's 11).  I do not want to set her up on her new phone until I know I can link these accounts.  When I log in to my own live account, there's an option that says 'Kids accounts' and 'you do not have any child accounts' but there's no option or menu anywhere to prompt me to create one, or to link existing accounts?  Frustrated.com!!  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

I'm an iPhone user, but I also have Microsoft accounts like Outlook, Office, etc. One day I was away from my PC. So I went to Outlook.com (web app)on my iPhone. I logged in and went to check my Calendar and it said set up Calendar on your device. I clicked the link and it took me to Windows.com. It told me instructions on how to set up my Calendar. The instructions were...

  1. Tap Settings and then tap Mail,Contacts, Calendar.
  2. Tap Add Account in the Accounts page.
  3. Select Hotmail.
  4. Enter your Outlook.com address and password.
  5. Select the feilds that you want to sync. Tap Save

I followed the steps and then went back to the link the website provided. But its still telling me to set up my calendar. I have no clue on what to do so help me Microsoft Community! You made the thing for cryig out loud! is it because i have a POP3 account? Why cant you just make these apps on the AppStore!

In my three children's Outlook accounts, they cannot send emails to anyone other than a handful of relatives.  I suspect this is a block left over from when Microsoft Family Safety allowed us to control the addresses they could mail to.  But that feature has been removed, but it feels as if the "blocks" are still in place.  This leaves us unable to use their accounts to mail to friends, teachers, etc.

Can someone help me remove those blocks?

The symptoms are very clear:

1.  In any of the accounts, I can send an email to my own or my wife's Outlook account.  These are addresses we permitted some time ago in Microsoft Family Safety.

2.  Immediately thereafter, if I try to send an email to another address (e.g., to my work email address which I never "permitted" back in the day), the email goes right into the Outbox and sits there with no error.

3.  This happens on both our iPhones, iPads and PCs; so it is not related to the browser, any cache issue, etc.

Please help.

David

I get an error message 800704dc when I sync from onenotes to SkyDrive. The document on SkyDrive has the edits but when I try to look at them from another device the edits are not there. Customer service from Microsoft does not seem to be able to identify the problem as they have referred me to this medium in search of a solution.

Hi,

I am a very frustrated customer to say the least.   I have had nothing but issues with the my Wiindows 8 phone.  I am not able to log into my Hotmail account on my phone, but can do so via O365 or SkyDrive. I have request security code to be sent to me via text and I received nothing and than I tried to have it emailed to me and nothing again.

I had a live chat with one of your support people and their able to send me a support code via text, but not a account code.  They stated there is something wrong on the backend.

Please don't tell me to do a hard reset!  I cannot afford to lose my information for the 3rd time.  Why is there so many issues with the Windows phone?

I would appreciate a response immediately.  Not sure what their is not number to call?  It seems its a way to avoid dealing with the consumer....poor customer service.
