How can I let Microsoft know that sharing calendars on Outlook.com does not work?

1) I tried to share my calendar with my wife 5 times by sending her an email at her Hotmail account but her account never received the emails.

2) I tried to share my calendar with one of my alternative email addresses. I got the email immediately at that address but when I tried to accept and open the calendar it told me the permission had expired. I guess whoever I share with has less than 30 seconds to accept.

3) I tried to just using the calendar sharing URL but that comes up as an invalid URL on any browser or machine where I try to use it.

It seems the fix is to not use Microsoft's calendars and use Google calendars. At least you can export the Microsoft calendar as ICS and import it into your Google Calendar.

Re-sign up for a Microsoft account after closing it?

I just recently closed my Microsoft account so that I could start fresh, but I would like to use the same name as before. While going through the setup process, I get an error stating that the address is unavailable.

Will the name become available over time, or is the name permanently lost? The name that I would like to use is a part of my brand, and I would really like to continue using it.

Hello

I received this message "This email address is already taken. Please try another one. " after trying to add my gmail as an alias on my Hotmail Microsoft account so I can sign in using the gmail not the Hotmail.

I would like to do this because my Hotmail account that Microsoft is using doesn't exist anymore.

I have changed my Hotmail to gmail on billing info (like it says to do) but no change.

I do not wish to open a new Microsoft account (My hp/envy is trying to make me haha) as I have points on the one I wish to keep.

I do not want to use the Hotmail address at all. only gmail.

when updating the proofs on my son’s account getting status code 1086

It will not let my son sign in to his xbox live account to update security. We sign in to our account on Microsoft and when I try to very that I am an adult it pulls up an expired credit card. I change the card info but it will not verify the new card giving an error code 1086 and to try again later. I have been trying to do this for several months and on different devices but it still gives me the same problem. Is there any other way to get this to go through to let me verify these accounts and that he does have permission?

Microsofts “Smartscreen”, is it violating my privacie?

So since Microsofts "Smartscreen" Outlook decides what is junk mail and what isnt, then does that mean Microsoft looks into the email and reads it ?

Unable to allow my step sons Live account to access anything due to US credit card requirement.

I'm trying to allow my step son to access various things on Microsoft, every time he tries to log in it asks for me to log in and authorize which then ends up with me having to enter US credit card details.

We can't get logged in to the Xbox site and we can't get him logged into a Microsoft account in Windows 8!

We're in the UK, both accounts are set up for the UK. He was able to log in with his account before, why can he not now?

And why do we have to go through the COPPA procedure when we have no way of doing it!?

Simultaneous Microsoft Email Accounts Logged In On One Computer

First question: Why is this such a difficult problem to find a simple solution for, or even a discussion about? Is 30 minutes of googling and searching on Microsoft support not enough?

For future searchers hopefully this will be easily found...

The issue (which I assume is very common): Is there any way to be logged in to one account at say @Outlook.com and log in to a different microsoft account like say @hotmail.com simultaneously on the same computer?

I ran into this problem when I tried out Google's Gmail and they had a work around for just this very issue. Surely Microsoft has figured this one out and is willing to assume the grave risk of allowing such usage for the sake of increased productivity worldwide. After dealing with Gmail's mess of an email system I have resorted back to using good ol' Microsoft for this particular account. I have been a long time hotmail account daily user as my primary personal email for probably 12+ years now and I enjoy it's organization. But when I went to the trouble of building a new outlook.com account for my other business I went to send a test email from my hotmail account and it automatically logged me out, even though it was on a different browser window. Then the obligatory google search for a discussion and fix on the matter ensued, and now 45 minutes later I'm going through the trouble of registering with the "community" and writing this post in hopes that I'll find the easy solution.

Please excuse the cynicism and sarcasm.

We recommend that all our students purchase and install Office 365 University on-line. One of the first steps in doing so is to create a Microsoft account to verify eligibility and install the software. However, if this is done on-campus, students receive the Sign Up Error 450: You've reached the daily limit . . . .

We have a public IP address, so am guessing that since Microsoft sees all the requests coming from a single IP, it shuts down after a couple of accounts are created. Is there a way to increase our limit, or white list our IP so students can get their software? This is becoming quite an issue for us with many irate students and now their parents.

Microsoft Account & Xbox Live Gamer Tag (HELP!)

Hello i am having a vary unusual experience with my Microsoft Account and my Xbox Live Gamer Tag. 2 days ago i changed my email address on my Gamer Tag. When i was changing it, it was giving me different messages of why it wouldn't change but eventually i got it to change. In the past i was having difficulty changing my email so i just gave up. The issues i am experiencing are, I can not purchase any content. When i go to purchase content i can only make it to loading screen of the item i want to purchase then i get a error message. I am also having an issue signing into Xbox.com.

I called XBL customer support and they tried looking me up in their system like they do to everyone els but they could not find my gamer tag only my email address's and histories of the emails. I can also not access my billing information through my xbox it gives me a error message as well. When i changed Microsoft accounts it did not transfer my currency from one to the other like it said it was going to do. I NEED some help badly Microsoft and Xbox keep playing pass around with me and all i want to do is download free content and have a secure account.

Missing emails since Outlook.com and why aren’t Microsoft taking responsibility?

Funny isn't it. I have had my Hotmail email account for over 10 years have thousands of emails a lot of which I wanted to keep, and I only realised today that the vast majority of my inbox, is missing. Now I've browsed this forum and noticed the blame being conveniently shifted back to the end user. Sorry, that's not good enough. How do you go all that time, users having multiple phones, multiple email browsers and yet suddenly, you get a flurry of complaints and try to pass the buck back on us?

You talk about the users configuring something wrong... to me it sounds like YOU got something configured wrong.

Admit what you did Microsoft, because I want my thousands of emails back, my history. I doubt any of that will ever happen.

I have been a loyal user of your's for so many years but you've really left a sour taste in my mouth.

So:

1) What did you do with my emails?

2) When are you going to admit fault?
