Cannot close my Hotmail account!

I have been repeatedly trying to CLOSE this account for over a year now. My account has been hacked on more than one occasion. Whenever I attempt to close my account, the reply is as follows:

You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.
You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity.

First of all, I have NO paid services associated with my account. As well, the second bullet makes no sense as that is what I am already trying to do.

I am from India on a visit to USA. Recently I purchased an ASUS laptop with windows8 loaded in the US from Microsoft online Store. I will be returning back to India soon with this Laptop.

I am trying to register my payment details with my credit card details at Microsoft store for getting new Apps loaded. But It is showing my country as USA and does not accept my India address. How do I change the country to India from US?

I wanted to start this thread just so I can express my disgust with Microsoft and It's 'moderators' who I think are hired straight from the nutbag factory.

I've been trying to recover my email for months now, It was breached and I've had to fill out a stupid form dozens of times now, and when I finally get an email back, it ALWAYS says UNFORTUNATELY, and everytime I try to get 'support' to help me recover my account, they tell me to do the same thing, when I imagine the Microsoft headquarters, I imagine a bunch of monkeys jumping around with Mr. Gates throwing bannanas at them.

Help me restore my damned account already! I never thought I'd resort to this kind bullkrap, but how stupid can people be, I've purchased Microsoft windows 8, I have the Surface Pro, I have the Lumia 920 and I wanted to get the Lumia 1020 when it's released, but now I would rather take that money somewhere else where they treat their customers with respect, instead of being a smartypants whenever I'm on live chat trying to seek help.

Listen to this genius tell me what I already know, it's almost as if she doesn't want to help!

I have been locked out of my email, I already tried filling the recovery form but I get an email back saying We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account *******@hotmail.com. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your ownership of this account using the information you provided.
I made this account a long time ago, and I'm not entirely sure on the contact details, however I do have alot of accounts with other parties e.g. PayPal, Valve Steam and other websites... I'm willing to prove my identity as recovering my email is a top priority, I have lost access to mentioned other parties, it seems somebody is trying to gain access to them aswell, PayPal contains my Credit Card details.
Please help me restore my account, and let me know how I can help speed up the process!

Why can’t I reset my password?

I've had two accounts linked for about 6 years, one personal and one professional, and I always got into the professional account through the personal one. I've long forgotten my personal password and have tried filling out the password retrieval questionnaire, but since my details have changed so significantly in the last 6 years my request was declined. I then tried calling Microsoft but was told I had to go online to 'Live help' in order to find a solution. So I went on the live chat forum, explained my situation, and was sent a forum link with an ID number and was told to wait for up to 24 hours for a response. The next day, I had multiple emails from the forum saying Microsoft had replied, so I clicked the link, signed in, and was told I was unauthorised to view the incident. After trying this a few times only to find there was no way I could possibly view my own forum, I went back to live help and explained the situation again. He assured me the problem would this time be fixed and sent me a forum ID number, like last time. This morning I again had multiple emails saying I had a response from the Microsoft team, clicked the link, and found it to be a dead link. I then tried to click all the links I've been sent, and they were all dead. This is getting ridiculous. My job requires me to have a functioning email address, and I can't communicate properly without it. I am happy to send in whatever proof of ID necessary to get my account back online.

I'm sick and tired of being ignored by Microsoft about all of the problems they created by FORCING Hotmail users to "switch" to the VERY INFERIOR email client outlook. Does ANY ONE out there have GOOD experiences with a free or NOT free email program that is compatible with Windows on a PC? I'm willing to PAY for a program where the owners of that program CARE about their user base but I wouldn't put a cent in to Microsoft's pockets for any email program they have.

I opened a chat with Microsoft to find my Hotmail e-mail creation date...but they couldn't tell me. Is there anyway of finding this out???

I had 2 linked Microsoft accounts and each had several aliases linked to them. The moment Microsoft stopped linking Microsoft Accounts (around 20 July 2013) I lost access to 1 of them. 1 ALIAS LINKED TO THAT IS MY BUSINESS E-MAIL ADDRESS!!! Reason: the lost Microsoft Account had the format I just made up myself *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Now I contacted Microsoft and they "fixed" my problem. Not really. See message below:

"Thank you for your request. Your Microsoft account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was created using an email address from a provider other than Microsoft. To reset your password for this account, follow these steps:

1. Click Here for the Microsoft account password reset page.

2. Select an option and click "Reset your password".

3. Enter your Microsoft Account, then enter the security characters, lastly click "Next".

4. On the following page, select "Email me a reset link" and then click "Next".

5. A reset link is now sent to your email address.

NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY E-MAILED THE RESET LINK (STEP 5) TO A NON EXISTING E-MAIL/E-MAIL I HAVE NO ACCESS TO!!!

HOW AM I EVER GOING TO GET ACCESS TO MY VERY IMPORTANT LOST MICROSOFT ACCOUNT???

I AM LOSING CLIENTS RIGHT NOW!!!

(When answering this question, PLEASE don't recommend I use Microsoft's Outlook.com app for Android. The latest version of that app changed the font size to something ten times smaller than tiny and the app is useless to me because of this.)

I currently use an iPhone, but am about to switch to a Samsung Galaxy S4. Will I be able to use my Outlook.com (custom domain) email, contacts and calendar on Android's default email client, contacts, and calendar apps? Thanks for any help.
