Problems persist and no response from the "helpful people" at ANSWERS MICROSOFT
I cannot log onto my new account , created to try and recover my old account
yet can log onto this site which recognised the account/password
My old account is now blocked for too many failed attempts of incorrect password
(which is simply not the case , I typed in right password VERY CAREFULLY each time
I have been using this password for about 12 years now without any trouble,
that is until about 5 days ago when the sign in page format changed)
It is now totally obvious that these problems have nothing to do with either account being security compromised
but to do with TINKERING by Microsoft , something to do with the final migration of Hotmail to Outlook .
Its a problem Microsoft have created and yet they are doing NOTHING
to help me get back my desperately needed access to my Hotmail account.
They will hide behind the banal excuse of SECURITY and send me another mindless cut and paste instruction
to follow the recovery form submission process
which I have tried to do, unsuccessfully, three times
( probably because I misspelt the name of a File Folder or haven't exactly put the address of a recent mail received ,
but there is enough data on the recovery submission form to convince even the Spanish Inquisition
that I am who I say I am)
I can access my BANK ACCOUNT by communicating with a Human Being and answering 3 simple questions.
Why cant MICROSOFT offer a similar level of service ..is it that they cant afford to?
What do all these wonderful Moderators actually do, apart from cut and paste standard format replies?
To rub salt in the wounds they will offer some "have a nice day" type standard format platitude
about "understanding my frustration" ..they don't and they don't care.
The users who take the trouble to write into this site are actually doing Microsoft a service
by highlighting glitches in the systems ( if they bother to look at them ) and what do we get in return ...
The numpty that runs this part of Microsoft should be be fired for crass incompetence
and a complete overhaul of this NON SERVICE is required.
PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY TAKE SOME ACTION
(OTHER THAN TELLING ME -AGAIN- TO FOLLOW THE INOPERABLE RESET PASSWORD PROCESS)
AND ALLOW ME TO ACCESS MY BLOCKED ACCOUNT
