i want to close my microsoft account but it keep telling me You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account

can someone please help i have 2 accounts and i want to close one of them ive checked all my paid services i have 0 balance but still i can't close my account

Hi, I just got microsoft points and im going to buy GTA4: The ballad of gay tony for GTA4 on my pc. I click confirm download and a window pops up asking for the parental account password. I enter the correct password and a window pops up saying "cant sign in to your windows live id, If the problem persists go to https://account.live.com. I dont know what to do can somebody please help. Thanks

I would like to close my Microsoft account, but every time I hit the close account button, it says "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account."

I have NEVER used this account for purchasing anything. It's an account that I didn't even mean to make, and now I can't close it. Help please (Preferably Microsoft support)?

I wish to close/delete my microsoft account entirely. I don't use it anymore, so I wish to get rid of it. When attempting to press the "Close account" button within my settings, I receive this message: "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account." When under my subscriptions page, there is only a trial to Office 365 Home Premium(which has expired), and a Prepaid Xbox Live Gold Membership which has been canceled. Please, I want this account deleted ASAP and I am unable to do so.

I'm trying to close this account, however I'm receiving the error "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account." I have no paid services or Microsoft Points attached to this account, so I'm not sure why it won't let me proceed.

So I went to 7/11 to buy $20 Microsoft points I redeem in my account it confirmed then when I went to the game marketplace to purchase a game it said current balance 0 so I redeem the card again then it said already used try another valid code. I don't know what to do

My accounts been hacked and I need to close it now. Whenever I try to close it via account settings I get a very unhelpful message telling me the following:

You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.

Guess what? I don't have any paid services or Microsoft Points so please, please, please can someone help me close this account forever?

Is there anyway Microsoft can make closing an account an easier, less stressful process too?

So my Xbox live account was suspended over a year ago, and I didn't start using it again until one month ago, and I made Microsoft point purchases with no problem, but now I can't. Whenever I try to purchase Microsoft points, I get an error message of to try again later. I even went to go buy the prepaid Microsoft points, and I put in the code, and it said that it had added 2400 Microsoft points to my account, which I thought really worked, and then when I went to go check my balance of Microsoft points, it says I have "0" Microsoft points. I even tried putting the code in again to see if it didn't go through and it tells me "This code has already been used." I thought I would have had the Microsoft points, but it didn't even add them, so now I can't use my card or any payment method to purchase Microsoft points, and even when I purchase a Microsoft points prepaid card, it tells me it added, but didn't. I want to know why I'm not allowed to purchase Microsoft points in any way.

I can't close my microsoft account. I receive the following message when I try: "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.". I have gone to the transactions and there are none, and I'm noting that this problem has occurred before with others in this forum. I am constantly having my contacts accessed and I would like to shut the account down once and for all. You have permission to access and close my account. Thank you.
