Continually getting “Looks like someone else might be using your account”

I use multiple computers and have the same microsoft account signed in on them, which i expect is the whole point of the account so that your info goes with you no matter what device you are using. I also get met emails forwarded to my gmail account and I send emails from my gmail account but using my hotmail address.

Recently I have been getting very regularly locked out of my account and then have the message "looks like someone else might be using your account" and then having to go through the verification and change my password. This is not big deal, but when it happens so regularly and I then have to change my password on all devices accessing my account, it becomes a real pain.

Is there anything I can do about this or is this just another Microsoft pain that the world has to put up with?

I have a blocked Microsoft account and i cannot receive a security code because my email account can no longer be accessed. What can you do to help me? I've tried everything but I have gotten nowhere. It is not this account it's one of my other accounts.

Changing email address on my Microsoft account or transferring content from my old one to my new one.

Hi there.

Due to Google dropping support for active sync with gmail I have had to change my email address from a gmail.cm account to outlook.com to receive push notifications on my iOS based devices.

Currently my windows live account that is used for Xbox, games for Windows live, Skydrive, Windows 8 and various other services is registered to my gmail address. What I would like to do is be able to change the email address associated with this account to my new outlook.com address or be able to transfer any content or licenses from my old account to the new one.

Following are the services I am most interested in transferring/keeping.

Games for Windows live licenses

Xbox Live account data and licenses

Skydrive Data

Windows 8 sync info

It would be nice to have everything as single sign on again as opposed to needing to use my outlook.com account for email/contacts/calendars and my old gmail.com based Microsoft account for GFWL, Xbox Live, Skydrive and Windows 8 sync.

I had multiple Microsoft accounts and I wanted to combine them. I closed my Microsoft account with a Gmail account as the main email because I intended on adding that email as an alias in my live account, and then deleting the live account as an alias and setting my Gmail account as my primary alias. But when I try to add my Gmail account as an alias I get "This email address is already taken. Please try another." Then I tried to log in with my closed account to see if the closing didn't work, but when I tried logging in it said that account does not exist.

I have a "live.com" email account and able to sync it (last sync yesterday 16 August 2013) however I realized I can't login today and it becomes "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address"

My email is sync to many of my work and now I can't login. Please kindly advice on how I can recover my email as it is very important.

I can’t reset my old account password

I can't reset my password, when I type my old email address and then put in the characters, I press next and then it says that my microsoft account is incorrect. I need this account so that I can deal with my phone.

How can I recover my deleted microsoft account?

My account ID was removed from my Microsoft account accidently. If I try and sign back in, it has told me that it doesn't exist or it is in use. I really need my account back. I have a lot of important stuff I NEED to access. All my synced devices are barely useable because I can't access it. So far no one from Microsoft has been able to help me.

Hi,

I have two windows live ID (microsoft account) and i need to close one. My university provide me an account that i´m using with my windows phone (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) but i have an older account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) which i activate as a passport account (long time ago) just to be able to use it with msn messenger. I will not use this microsoft account more and i want to close it totally.

I have try to close it using the "close account" button in the Microsoft Account overview, but it give me the famous message "You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account". When i first set up my Lumia, i use this account in order to test the phone, and try some app; i have read and understand that there is must be some service activated that don´t let me close the account, but i don't know what is it or how i can close it.

I apologyze my language (I´m from Chile, we don´t use too much english around here), and i hope you can help me.

Unable to access payment options portion of Microsoft account in order to edit expiration date of credit card.

I was notified on August 5 that the credit card on file had expired and needed to be updated. The account expired on August 6. I have not been able to get into the proper place to update. The instructions I have followed are as follows:
1. Go to Commerce.microsoft.com
2. Select payment options
3. Select Edit

When I select Payment Options there is no Edit. It asks if I want to redeem a Microsoft card towards the payment.

Any help in getting to the proper place in the web site will be appreciated.
