I created this new outlook account because my old hotmail account (my***@hotmail.com) has been hacked since three days ago and now I can't open the account. When I tried to login three days ago, Microsoft told me that someone might have used the account,
so I either have to enter the code in alternative e-mail or fill in a questionnaire. But I noticed that the alternative email, and the security question have been changed by the hacker. So, I tried to fill in the account recovery questionnaire to retrieve
my account back but until today there's no response from Microsoft. Suddenly the password has been changed and it seems that Microsoft has given the access for this account to the hacker. It seems that my answers are not good enough because the hacker has
changed the security question, and I rarely use this account to send emails to others in the past few months, so I can't really recall the exact title of the recent message that I sent out using this e-mail. I've also called the support team yesterday (ref
no: 1216250261) and I was told that I will receive an e-mail on how to get my account back but until now I haven't received it.

My wife is tying so hard to get her email back but seems to be in some continuous loop. For some random reason Outlook asked her to enter a password even though she has been using this account daily for around 5 years. I am not sure if she entered an
incorrect password or what but her account is now locked. Every time we reset her password a message appears saying "it looks like someone else is using your account" and asks for a security code. When we click on this link and request the code to be sent
to the alternative email nothing happens. We have checked any spam or junk in boxes but no luck the code is simply not there.
If we click through and try and fill in the on line verification form all that happens is I get and email saying
"We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Unfortunately,
we were unable to verify your ownership of this account using the information you provided. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously, and we are committed to protecting the personal information of customers. We have
taken the additional step of blocking your account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** until we can verify you
as the account owner. This will prevent any further use of the account, and protect you from any possible malicious activity.
Please submit a new account verification form"
If I try and fill it in again I just get the same message, I have tried to call and live chat but no one can help.
Does anyone know how my wife can unblock her account? She needs to access her emails.

Sorry there seems to be a problem with Outlook at the moment... I immediately changed passwords having had a problem before but to no avail. Can anybody help me remove this block please, I have very little knowledge of computers, but my email is very important to me. Thank you in anticipation.
I updated the security in my Microsoft account. The first time I was directed to Outlook and I promptly received a code by phone.
Then I signed in again and was asked again for a phone number for my Microsoft account. I entered my phone number and I promptly received a DIFFERENT code .
Does Outlook, Skydrive etc. all have different code numbers???
09/05/2013 -When I sign on to my Microsoft Account the email ID drop down box has an erroneous email address listed. It is not an alias. How do I remove the erroneous email ID from the drop down box. I tried highlighting it and then hitting the "Delete"
key but that didn't work. I tried highlighting it and hitting the "Backspace" button and that didn't work either. I'd like the erroneous email address removed.

I have read some other topics and you suggested to make the same account again, but @windowslive.com domain is not in the dropbox so i cannot choose it.

Since 2 days my Microsoft account doesn't sync my mail on my phone. Interestingly I can sent mails from my phone, but I don´t receive any on my phone. I did not change settings it just happened out of the blue. Other mail accounts (gmail etc.) work fine.
I did a reset but still can't sync. Tried to set up a second hotmail account but that won't work neither.
My phone is a Nokia 620, i got it 2 weeks ago, it used to work fine.
I went to the shop were I got the phone, they reinstalled the software, and gave me a new chip, but the problem is still the same.
It shows the message cannot connect to dub-m.hotmail.com ERROR 80072ee2
