I would like to close down my hotmail account

05. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: microsoft, Microsoft account
I am trying to close my account and have done everything they ask, yet I still get this
To close *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
  • You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.
  • You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity.
I have deactivated all alias and cancelled all paid services yet it would allow me to close the account

Please close the account today

ERROR Office 365

Dear Everyone,

I am a little stressed and upset at the fact I can no longer view or use the following account:
I login in with the following:
0900875@unimail.winchester.ac.uk
However when I email it comes up as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** or *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I know the password is correct, but when I login via Outlook this Error comes up:

You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account).

However when I go to this link :

for trying to sign into a 365 account - it states that user name ID is not correct and is unrecognised.

I am therefore unable to access my account and I do not have an clue how to solve this!

Please please please can someone help me. I am upset and frustrated, I have so many things attached to this account, including account details for a Gig I am attending and I need to know the specific dates to give to my employer. I have so much linked it is making my life so difficult to manage.!

Many Thanks,

From
Desperate individual who has no answer to this life question!

Skydrive not signing in and syncing with “Server Error” after recient change in Microsoft Account primary to Outlook.com

05. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: microsoft, Microsoft account, Server Error, SkyDrive

Hi,

The Skydrive Desktop app is no longer syncing with either of my PCs. Both PCs are connected to the same Microsoft ID. The program returns a "Sorry, there is a problem with the SkyDrive servers. Try again in a few minutes." error message followed by multiple crashes and program restarts. I recently updated the primary account to a new Outlook.com address, which Skydrive did recognize, however it did not "take" my updated password. It was working perfectly before the Hotmail to Outlook transition.  However this change may indeed not have anything to do with the "Server Error." This problem presented ~2-3 days ago. I switched accounts 1-2 week ago. Anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to resolve it? Thank you.

Best regards.

My blocked Microsoft account

Hi, My Microsoft account that I normally use is blocked and I need to speak to an Agent online, through these replies, or phone.

My affected email is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (I still use this address and have access to it.)

I would like to have an agent fix the block on my account so that I may continue using my account.

If there is anything I may be able to do tell me in the replies.

Accidentally closed Microsoft Account, how to recover it?

03. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: Microsoft account
I accidentally closed my Microsoft Account recently and want to recover it.

However, the system keep saying that I can't use my previous email address to sign in (email address doesn't exist) or sign up (this email address is not available). How can I recover my Skydrive and Microsoft Account?

How do I get my Microsoft account unblocked?

I attempted to sign into my Microsoft account two days ago. I was then lead to a new link saying, "Your account has been Temporarily Blocked." "Here is what you need to do, contact customer support and we will ask you a few questions to verify your account." Below that message is a "Continue" button. There is nothing else that tells me what to do.

*Note*: I have full access to my affected email account. And every time i try to log in or go to a Microsoft owned website while logged into the affected account it shows me the same "Temporarily Blocked" message.

Here is a list of what i have done to unblocked my account:

- Reset my password (about 4 or 5 times)
- I have Updated my security to the affected account using an alternate account.
- Filled out 2 questionnaires
- Contacted costumer support (Costumer support told me to post on the forums.)
- Posted on the forums 3 time
- I have put in 7 or 8 verification codes

More Info.:

- I have full access to the affected email address and i have received emails saying, "Right on! The information you submitted for your affected account has been verified. click this link to reset your password." When i do reset my password and then sign in with my affected Microsoft account i once again get the "Temporarily Blocked" message.
- Customer support tried to access my account and even they were blocked out.

If there is anything i am not doing right, or i have yet to do please reply. Cause really all i want to do is to add more security to my account so i can use Xbox Live again.

LOST EMAILS AFTER TRYING TO CLOSE AN OLD ACCOUNT

02. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: Microsoft account

right,

so this is what happened. I logged into my old hotmail account. I went to account settings. I clicked on close account. The page reloaded where i was prompted to enter my password to verify it was me. Once I had done this and clicked NEXT, the page reloaded and i had a page which said:

CLOSE YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT

TO CLOSE *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity.

So I clicked on 'deactivate your account' which was blue and a new window opened. On this page you have to select why you are closing your account which I did and I then I was logged out. The original page had logged me out too so I closed them both and went to log into my current account, but when I logged in I was taken to the page where you say why you are closing your account!

All of my emails have now disappeared and I really need them back!!!!! Please can someone tell me how? I used the chat option but the agent was only able to tell me to go to deleted items and then try the recover option which didn't work. Is there a way of resetting to a previous version????

I really need my emails!!
