How to connect Skydrive to windows 8.1 pc

Hey guys,

I have the problem that my skydrive is not connected to my Microsoft account. I am using Windows 8.1 and if I upload files with the app it doesn't show online?

Furthermore, I cant see a connected pc if I use skydrive online.

So how can I link my pc to skydrive?

Does anyone has a solution for this problem?

I can't sign into my email accounts. get a message the Microsoft account is incorrect. I have been using it few time a week and some how it stop working after I used alias.

I'm posting this for a friend of mine:

She's messed up a new Microsoft account she was trying to set up for her new Surface RT. She got the verification mail, but when she clicked the link, it said the service was unavailable.

Now, she can no longer log in (she forgot what password she entered exactly).

When she goes to https://account.live.com/acsr?sol=&sig=&cxt=Default to recover her password, it says: "The Microsoft account you've entered does not exist."

No problem I think, we'll register again. But on this page (https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1382338484&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=SAPI&wreply=https:%2F%2Faccount.live.com%2Fsummarypage.aspx&id=38936&bk=1382338503&uiflavor=web&mkt=EN-US&lc=1033&lic=1), it says: "marliesvanderh***@gmail.com isn't available.".

There's also a page to reset (not recover) your password: https://account.live.com/password/reset. Here, she gets the message: "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again."

So I guess the account is locked somewhere in the Microsoft databases. As this her my primary email address, she very much would like to set up a MS account with this email address (the Hotmail address she's using now is for newsletters, shops, etc).

I can provide the gmail address in a PM if necessary.

This started for me on Win 8/IE10 a few months back whenever I would try to access search results that brought me to social.microsoft.com or answers.microsoft.com. Now on 8.1/IE 11, I am unable to sign in at all with my Microsoft account, even just to access email. I've reset browser settings to default and cleared all cache many times, no change. Works just fine in Firefox. This is infuriating!

I cannot access my Skype account on my new computer, running Windows 8. It HAS to have a Microsoft account information box filled. Why???

I can access the account, on IE but cannot find a link to get from the account to the calling pages. SKYPE SUPPORT couldn't help me. The guy had no idea what I was talking about.

Multiple Issues With Outlook/Microsoft Account

I'm having multiple issues with my Outlook/Microsoft account:

Some Outlook contacts are not syncing to the People app in Windows 8.1 Pro. What makes this more odd is that all the Outlook contacts sync properly to my HTC 8X (running GDR3)
Security Info allows me to set a phone numbers. Security notification via SMS never arrive. However, security notification via voice do work (I would prefer SMS).
Missing contact from LinkedIn on Outlook.com, People app in Win 8.1 Pro and People Hub on 8X. Contact exists in LinkedIn and properly syncs/merges on other platforms (eg BB10 & Android).
Archive mailbox doesn't sync via IMAP.

Originally I thought these issues may have been caused by cruft. So, before installing 8.1 I did the following, based on recommendation I read in other places on these message boards:

Removed all linked accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) from my Microsoft Account and 8X.
Performed a Factory Reset on the 8X.
Performed a wipe and clean install of Win 8 (without restoring settings) before upgrading to 8.1.

All problems and issues persist, which leads me to wonder if there's something wrong with my account. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Custom domain for existing Microsoft account

Say my Microsoft account is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. My email with custom domain mydomain.com is currently hosted by Google Apps. I want to move my email hosting from Google Apps to Live Admin Center.

Now, say I have another Microsoft account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** that I will use for Live Admin Center. If I now setup mydomain.com in Live Admin Center, can I migrate the existing *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as an email account within the Live Admin Center mydomain.com account?

i had linked my microsoft account with that of Gmail.I accidently closed it.How can i reactivate it?

I had linked the Windows Mail with my Gmail account.
5 days back,i accidentally closed it because it was continuously notifying my of entering a wrong password,when it wasnt the case.
Now when i try making a new account with the same everything,it says this account already exists!
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Can you please give me a detailed and a step by step solution?

Local Account cannot work with skydrive in windows 8.1 !!!! Any work around ??

Hi all,

I used Skydrive desktop app with windows 8 local acccount mode because I want to deal with offline files.

On that time, skydrive metro ui mode was still able to sign-in to my skydrive account seperately like mail people app without sign-in to pc with microsoft account thing.

Now, with greater windows 8.1 skydrive with offline file mode feature has come. ....But I cannot use it because I use local account ... ????

What a change on this !!!! So now I cannot use skydrive desktop app too unless i have to sign-in with microsoft account to my PC which I do not want

Is it too hard for Microsoft developement team to do pop-up window to ask skydrive ID (microsoft account) .... ?

You can with mail app, calendar app, people app.... why cannot to skydrive ....

Hi Team,

I am having Microsoft account and i want to join skype. But while trying the same, i am getting error as "Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details. Please check your Skype Name and password, then try again." Kindly guide me to get out of this issue. Please find the attached screen-shot for your reference.
