I have a new laptop running on windows 8. I signed up for and am using a Microsoft account to sign into the laptop. No problem. When I try to download from the app store, open skydrive, or open the people app, I am advised that my password is incorrect.
I have changed it several times trying to remedy the problem. I am using the same email address. Any help would be appreciated.
( on Windows 8, of course. Never had trouble with Vista, like I am having with Win 8) Microsoft has blocked my account. What can I do? What is a local account and what is a Microsoft account? What can I do? Please write as if writing for a dull witted child, I may understand.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone was having issues with the federated login on Microsoft account.
What would normally happen is I head over to YouTube, enter my email address, click sign in, and it would redirect to a Microsoft account sign in page where I would re-enter the email address and enter my password. There I would click sign in, it would
authenticate, and then redirect me back to YouTube signed in.
This was the older option of signing in before two step, and if I can sign in again, I am disabling federated right away.
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

i cant access my microsoft account because ive forgotten the password and the security answer due to not using it for a long time, its only used to sign in to xbox live on my console and it was working fine untill a couple of days ago when it came up with
an error code and now i cant access xbox live please help
