I upgraded my tablet's OS to Windows 8.1 and found that my Hotmail has, once again, changed when viewed through the Mail app. I see new icons on the left that correspond to Newsletters and Social Updates. I noticed that some of my mail was automatically placed in the Newsletter section instead of my inbox. I'd like to change that and have all of my mail go to my inbox. I'm as lazy as the next guy, but I'd at least like to determine which subfolders house my mail items on the frontend. Please advise.
Oh, and if anyone knows how to delete the Social Updates icon, I'd like to do that, as well.
Thank you,
emlit
i have 2 problems.. first, my message count is wrong. it says 1 unread message eventhough there is no unread message in my inbox. second problem is total email count in the inbox wrong. it says 133 messages but i can only see 42 messages in the inbox.. also it shows 4 pages to see all 133 messages but i cannot go thru page 3 or 4 to see other emails becuse they are disabled. what is going on??
I use Exchange ActiveSync with my Nokia N8 phone, but the above mails were still showing in my phone's Inbox at the time.
Also, I have the "Don't let devices or apps delete messages from Outlook. If the app or device is set to delete, Outlook will move the messages to a special POP folder instead." option enabled.
What's going on?
I recently accessed my Hotmail account, which I normally access using Windows Live Mail.
There are several accounts being collected and only one of these is being affected.
All the emails in the inbox except 4 from January 2013 appear to be missing.
Logging in to the Account with Outlook.com also shows only 4 emails.
I had been regularly been receiving emails in this account since then.
