Hello All,

I am having issues with trying to subscribe to an .ics calendar using my outlook.com account.  Basically I am trying to subscribe to a calendar so that it will update my Win Phone 8 dynamically.  I can download the .ics file and import it with no problem but that is not what I want since the calendar is a dynamic schedule that updates frequently.

I can also subscribe to the link in my gmail calendar but that does not update my phone :o)

The webmaster\developer of the website is willing to make any changes necessary to increase compatibility of the ics calendars.  Can someone tell me if there is a specific version of the standard that Outlook.com is looking for in the ics URL?

Like I said the file imports perfectly but I want to subscribe and that is where the issue lies.

Thanks,

Dave

Hello.

I got a hotmail.com email address and I use Windows Live Mail (Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308)) which I believe is the latest and www.outlook.dk and the calendar function is not working very well.

With Windows Live Mail there is no way to import/subscribe/remove .ics so I open my browser and login to calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx  and then click import and then subscribe where I add the .ics link and calendar name.

I click "subscribe" and it seems like it was a success and the calendar page shows, but nothing in the calendar has changed.
Then I click the little wheel (right upper corner) and click on "settings", then I click on my newly added calendar and I see there's an error message.

Translated from Danish the messages say:
Latest update: "This calendar has not yet been updated."
Error: "This calendar was not updated due to a problem with the publisher's file. We will try to update it again later."

I have successfully subscribed with the exact same link using Google's Gmail and with a desktop gadget named Windows Live Calender Gadget.
So the link is working.

I wish to subscribe to following .ics link, but it just won't work.
https://services.tamigo.com/Calendar/56xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/Calendar.ics
NB. Note I have exchanged some unique signs with "x" in this example.

I've also tried removing the "s", so it just starts with "http://" but it still won't work.

Please help, I'd really like to have an updated calendar using Windows Live Mail.

Thanks!
Fred
