During the great transition from Hotmail to Outlook, I accidentally deleted my e-mails prior to a certain date.  I now find that I desperately need those e-mails.  Are they stored somewhere out there where I can get them back?  Tried the deleted message restore deal, but it only went back a few days.  I'm looking for messages a few years back.  <sigh>
I was automatically switched from Hotmail to Outlook. My "Drafts" folder was emptied out when the switch was forced on me. I could use the mail that was saved in my drafts back again. Help please.
I have the same issue with Samsung Infuse.  It updated the Hotmail app to Outlook.  Now will not authenticate for either my hotmail.com or msn.com account.  Please review my account. Thanks for your time.
Hi ,
In Hotmail profile there used to be an option where we can change our status , but now I don't find that same option anywhere in outlook . Could please get this amendment so that i can write down my current status .

Original title: when we first were told that hotmail will changed completely to outlook and all access to hotmail will be erased so how come we can still sign into our old hotmail account

When Microsoft initially announced the introduction of outlook emailing account,we were told that Hotmail would soon be "totally erased" so how come about 2 months later,i can still sign into my old Hotmail name and address.

We were told to be quick and change our Microsoft emailing "ID" to a new Microsoft "account" with a new email name and @outlook.com email address and yet about 2 months later I can still log into my "old Hotmail account with the exact same name and password.

As far as I knew,"Hotmail" was being totally erased from the internet world completely-so is this still the case (or) are we going to be able to "always still sign into the "old Hotmail account?.

Does anybody have the definite and exact answer to this question.??.

I have been trying to set up my hotmail account on my new phone but I keep receiving the either error 'invalid username/password' or unable to connect server. I have followed all advice found on forums(including changing password) and tried the Hotmail & Outlook apps. I even contacted Virgin who tried most of what I'd already done & then referred me back to Microsoft. I'd rather not have to pay to have this problem put right - I'm beginning to wish I hadn't changed from my Blackberry where I didn't have any problems!

Thanks for any help you can give me

Yesterday, my iPad stopped being able to sync Hotmail.  I am getting: UNABLE TO CONTACT SERVER.  I am able to access in my Android phone, any browser and my Win8 laptop.  I deleted the account and re entered both as Hotmail and Exchange.  In both cases, the verification appeared to succeed, but the mail cannot contact the server and the calendar does not show in my calendars list.  I changed the password, but that didn't help.  Incidentally, my XBOX was not able to connect when I updated the password.  Server problem?

Since Hotmail has been upgraded to Outlook, annoying advertisements are cluttering the right side of the reading pane.  How can I get rid of them?
Is there a contact number for hotmail, I'm trying to help my dad regain access to his hotmail account, its been blocked we've tried the automated route but no use?

Thanks

Outlook to Hotmail - Outlook is rubbish!

Since Hotmail changed to Outlook, how can you use MSN Messenger while checking your emails? You could when it was Hotmail. Outlook is rubbish!
