I tried to update my Hotmail account to an Outlook account and in the process it deleted ALL of my Hotmail emails. Could someone please tell me how to get them back? I have called Microsoft numerous times and used the online chat support and they have
advised me to post the question here. I would really appreciate some help ASAP.
Yesterday all the sudden my hotmail account stopped sending emails and when I deleted and re added the account it was the same thing.
When they switched us to Outlook from Hotmail (Hotmail worked much better, by the way), I lost all ability to attach files and photos from only "certain" files. To attaché them, I have to save them to a new folder. Why is this? and is it possible to go
back to the better product, Hotmail?
I have just logged into my hotmail email after a few months inactive and discover I am now on outlook and everything has gone. All my emails, all my folders - the only thing I can find is my contacts.
I have searched the internet for an answer so before you start giving me the stock replies, I have already checked the deleted messages and tried to recover them and that does nothing. I have used my hotmail account within the last 6months so it is not due to inactivity. My account has not been hacked. I have not changed my account name. I am logging in the exact same way I always have... so please do not give me the same answers that seem to be cut and pasted into every reply from the moderators. I really need to access my emails for important business information.
I was forced to switch to outlook is seems... but if you are telling me I had to check my account within 10 days of it being forced over to outlook then that is just ridiculous. This is an old account I have had for over 10years.
Please help with something constructive and helpful.... not the stock replies.

In my Hotmail account, I clicked the link which appeared to be from a friend. The next day, I could not get into my account. Customer Service told me to do password reset. It did not work (including "email me a reset link" and security question"). I also
completed the extended questionnaire that comes up when you click "I can't use any of these options". Nothing is working. I was not sent a password reset or even a response after I filled out the extended questionnaire. The last thing Customer service told
me to do was to post in this forum. Please let me know how to get into this account! (I need all of those emails in order to take my medical Board Exam ASAP.)
Hi
On certain PC's, Hotmail says that password is incorrect yet the account works ok on other pc's and other Hotmail accounts work fine on the awkward PC's.
Any clues
I just recently switched from Hotmail to outlook because my account was locked for the longest time. I did not have a cell phone so couldn't receive a text messages with any security codes. Anyhow, when I finally got all that security screening out
of the way my outlook account DELETED or DID NOT TRANSFER all of my old Hotmail information.
I have no idea what happened.
Please help,
JM

I had a Windows Live Hotmail account which has been upgraded to Outlook. I cannot find a way to set read receipt requests on mails that I send. Is there a way to do so?
For some reason I can´t sign in to my Hotmail account (Outlook.com). Microsoft wants me to add some new security info and verification to my account, and I´ve tried ALL the suggested ways of doing this, several times, but none of them works. I´ve had my
Hotmail account for 15 years and I´ve never experienced anything like this before. I really hope someone can help me access my account again ???
Sincerely
Jay

Hi,
Not sure if anyone has a similar problem but I am hoping someone can help me with this: I have created a number of Calendars in my Hotmail (Outlook.com) account which I have shared with my Wife's Hotmail account (as co-owner) and we both use these to add/edit/remove events and this works great. One issue though is as I created most of the Calendars I can only send email reminders to my Hotmail account and I would like to be able to send reminders to her Hotmail account too. The "Calendars on your PC and Mobile Phone" reminders work perfectly on our phones but we would really like to both receive the email reminders too. I don't want to use the attendee function as I don't see the point of sharing calendars with someone with co-owner rights and then having to invite them to events as well. I have looked online and not seen a solution for this I am hoping someone may have some suggestions?
