I am going on a tour with a company in another country (US) and have been emailing my contact there. Now I find that I can no longer receive emails from my contact to my Hotmail (Outlook) account. She can receive my emails from my Hotmail account.
I have never had this happen before and neither has she.
Where should we start looking for the cause of the problem?

Since Hotmail became Outlook I have had problems. I sign into an account and it lists all in my inbox. When I try to open one it highlights in blue but will not open. Also the entire thing is frozen, for example I cannot change from inbox to sent etc. Very often when attempting to open it shows "error on page." Can anyone help please. I never had any problems when it was Hotmail. Thanks Graham
So i recently started to sell things on ebay as well as Craigslist. when people mail me can they see my display picture? i also send may to people on craigs list when im interested in buying something as well... i find it very impersonal when they are able to see it. its of my children and i just dont feel safe leaving my hotmail picture up there. i have no accounts linked so im just wondering when we mail back and forth can they see it?

I have used Hotmail account many, many, many years through Internet Explorer.  It was about a month+ I began having problems due to YOUR change with the Hotmail/Outlook.com account with Internet Explorer.  In fact, I was in hotmail with IE 8 doing AOK, signed off then went to access a couple hours later (same day) and POOF-problems.  It has been several months now I am unable to access Hotmail receiving this message ....."Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later".......  Prior to this I was able to access/open account yet missing tabs like reply, send etc, and could not see my folders.

Firefox I have no problems with my Hotmail account.  I am more comfortable with IE 8 and would prefer to continue through IE. Do you have a fix?

My computer is:

  • Windows 7 Ultimate
  • IE 8---I must keep IE 8 due to compatibility issues with American Red Cross Programs.  Hotmail was working just fine with IE 8
  • 2010 Microsoft Office Professional
