I've seen a similar post to this but they were older so I decided to open my own. My wife can no longer connect to her 2 hotmail accounts from her ipad. I've done a factory reset and still no luck. This happened after she opened an email that was suspicious,
but she did not click any links. I can add my hotmail account and it will load all my messages, but as I've said neither of her two accounts work. Her username is othersis, and sludwig, both hotmail (not live or outlook). Any help you can give is greatly
appreciated.
Since this morning the Hotmail network is not coming up on my iphone, and one of my friends too.
I have deleted the account and re-set it again, still nothing happens, please advice
I did not give approval to switch me from hotmail to outlook. I don't want outlook. Outlook has been inoperable all day so I can't access my hotmail. Hotmail never had this problem.
I logged into hotmail okay on Wednesday 7 August 2013. was unable to access my emails on Thursday. Was told my password was nor known yet it was okay. Finally I convinced them I was genuine after giving details of recent email subjects, some email addresses
I have contacted and names of some of my folders. Now luckily I do have my friends' email addresses but all my folders have gone. They did not transfer. How can I retrieve them/ I feel really fed up about this.
Appending Hotmail to Outlook has always been a bad idea! Terrible.
Outlook is junky, spotty and works in fits and starts. Has always been that way, especially when attached to any other program of any kind.
Now MSN is paying for it.
You will lose zillions of clients.
I recommended Hotmail to many new users, but never the new Outlook system. See why? Yuk!
I need my calendar back, and my phone book, ASAP.
If this happens again, I am gone. Probably fully to Gmail, tho' Chrome has been compromised with ad- and malware around the edges.

Once again, Microsoft appears to be doing their own thing ie changing Hotmail to switch over to outlook at least this is what appears to be and now we all are having issues obtaining our emails This is not only frustrating and taxing to each and every
customer it would be nice that a simple statement or fix be available. Only thing I got is unable to open out look at this time. I got looking and found another statement that all Hotmail would end in August and all email would be archived? What is a customer
to do? If I change email how would I recover my archived email under a different user name? any thought? appears Microsoft never put any thought into this before implementing. Again what is a customer suppose to do? Forget sending me an email with an answer

Since this morning my hotmail refuses to open and says that there is an error with outlook. On my ipad it says that the connection to server failed. I don't know if this is a temporary problem or i've been blocked. Initially I thought my account was being
hacked so I changed all security information and password. I even opitmised all my web browsers. It still fails to connect to my mail. This is extremely frustrating as I use my hotmail account a lot on a daily basis and I have been using it for 8 years without
a problem until now.
Can someone help me out please? Is there a microsoft hotline I can call to?

Please help, I have spent all morning and got nowhere...I can gain access to my two hotmail accounts and messages via my blackberry phone though not through my laptop. I can access the accounts on laptop, though not open anything, its just buffering.
Why? I can tick boxes and move e mails though I cannot open any, or clear junk and deleted files. Two days ago I was asked to provide a code to verify my account on one of them, which I did, now its seems I cannot work in either. Its crucial to my job that

I accessed my hotmail and was asked to send a security code to an alternate email address. The email address offered to me no longer exists. There is no option to send it to another email address and it says it will take 30 days to update my details
with a new alternate address. I am travelling overseas and cannot wait that long. i depend on my hotmail account.
How can I get the code sent elsewhere immediately?
If someone responds, where will I see the answer as I won't be able to access my hotmail the next time I log in? Microsoft have presented me with a unique problem here and I really need it sorted so I will be able to access my mail.
