Certificate error when attempting to download attachments from Hotmail.

When I attempt to download a file from Hotmail I get a Certificate Error. This is unrelated to I.E (I have just upgrated to I.E 10) as it occurs in Firefox and Google Chrome too.

This problem also occurs when I try and download an email attachment that I have downloaded before with no problems.

I have forwarded a Hotmail message to my Gmail account and I can download the attachments fine. Therefore I assume the problem is purely a Hotmail (Outlook) issue.

This problem has occurred since yesterday (27th August 2013).

Unable to open attachments on Hotmail

My browser has suddenly started changing to https://dub126.mail.live.com when I sign in to my Hotmail account on any device - Macbook/MBAir/ ipad/iphone and I cannot open attachments.  I get a message that Safari cannot verify the identity of the website "dub126.afx.ms" or it simply does not open.  I have tried in Firefox and the same happens.  I can forward my emails to someone else and they can open the attachments on the same device so it is my email account that appears to have the problem not the device.  HELP PLEASE.

close account – endless loop

Trying to close 3 old Hotmail and 2 old live accounts. Have tried both IE and Firefox on 2 different W8 machines for over 2 weeks here: https://account.live.com/CloseAccount.aspx

 

At first was getting error :

We can't show you that page

Our server is having a problem. We're working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again in a few minutes.

 

Today I am referred to another page

You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. https://blu180.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id=64855&rru=accountclose

 

This requires me to sign in again the choose a reason

It then loops back to the sign in page/deactivation pages endlessly.

hotmail taskbar shortcut

  I have the Hotmail shortcut icon pinned to my taskbar . It will not access the Hotmail site.  It just goes to a page that indicates this page cannot be accessed, check address--but address is correct.  It also indicates to check connection, but connection is fine.  How do I unpin this icon and repin the Outlook icon?  This is in ie9.  ( I know how to unpin the Hotmail icon.  Do I just try to pin the outlook icon the same way as the Hotmail one?)

My hotmail account has been blocked and I have requested a verification code but none of them have come through and now it is saying I have had too many codes sent to me. Can you help please.
