I'm using Outlook 2010 with Hotmail connector v14.0.  With my other devices I can limit downloads to the last 30 days.  Can I do this for Outlook 2010/Hotmail Connector?  If not, can I limit which folders are synchronized?  I want to limit how much is kept on my local machine without permanently deleting the email.
I've tried to research this answer but it's still not clear to me. I have an old Hotmail/Hotmail Plus account that I've upgraded to Outlook.com. I'm still paying the annual subscription right now, but it's up for renewal soon.

If I stop paying the "Plus" subscription and go back to a regular Outlook.com account, will I lose my older emails if my storage exceeds a certain limit? If yes, what is that limit? and is there a way to find out how much space my account currently takes up?

Thanks!

Hi,

I am writing on behalf of my sister-in-law who has Multiple Sclerosis and is confined to a wheel chair. She has had her Hotmail account for about 10 years, maybe  more.

Recently, she has been unable to access her Hotmail account. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the Outlook upgrade or not.  I helped her with the form but she was unable to remember enough and Microsoft denied  her request for assistance.  The form is OK for healthy people, but it seems Microsoft won't go the extra step to help people with disabilities.  I called Microsoft support and received no help at all. Surely there must be a way to help her.

I am concerned that she will lose everything. Being confined to a wheelchair with such a debilitating disease, Hotmail means a lot to her as it provides a way to be in contact with family and friends.

I am hoping that someone from Microsoft will read this and help her gain access to her account.

I can not open ANY of my emails in outlook express...I havent used my desktop in about 6 months because I have just been using my phone.  So when I logged onto my HOTMAIL account using my desktop I noticed it went to outlook express...I didnt think nothing of it but when I tried to open my emails, nothing would happen....Ive tried opening up the options menu...nothing!  The only thing that will even work is the "help" option, which as you can see, has NOT helped.  Ive updated my browser like it instructed and still nothing.  I also noticed that the option to use HOTMAIL has been taken away...heres a thought...give us the option to decide whether we want HOTMAIL or outlook express...I think you know what I would choose.

I see at the botton of this that it has notify me when someone reads this....what good will that do if I cant open my emails to see what someone suggests?...Im going to check it regardless though.

Hi all, just like the rest on here I have had my Hotmail account blocked with no real help to unblock it.

I have exhausted every possible google search on resolving this matter with no success.

My email address was setup 5 years ago and I have never really used it other than for my Xbox Live account.

So that means I have not made any folder, sent any email or really remember and such information about the account other than the obvious.

This is stupid that so many people are having the same problems with no real support from the Hotmail team..

every link to recover my account always seems to get me back to the page where I have to fill in the info im having trouble with in the first place?

I have tried to recover my password via my alternate email but I never receive it, I have filled out the information to best of my knowledge.

A lot has changed in the last five years since I setup my Hotmail account as I have moved from the UK to Australia.

So this is my last attempt for help in recovering my blocked Hotmail account before I change my others over another provider with much better support.

Oh just to clarify this account is NOT the account im having trouble with!!

CAN I JUST MENTION THE 3 Service Request Update Emails I have received with the link to follow up on my request WILL NOT LET ME VIEW THEM with either the Live ID im using now or the Live ID im having trouble with??

How am I supposed to follow up if I cant access it as I have mentioned this in each support request email?

Is there real people dealing with this or is it all just computer automated replies?

I look forward to posting this again when I receive the same response YET AGAIN!!!!

I am blocked out of one of my hotmail accounts. Microsoft keeps saying it will send a code to a different email so I can get in, but I have not received a code. This is extremely frustrating!

I am having a recurring problem whenever I use  an HP Pavilion 753N to sign into my Hotmail Account. I always get a screen saying

There is a Problem signing in to Outlook. I click on the bar there & the connection is made. I do NOT have any problrm signing in using

my Windows 7 Account.  Does Windows XP no longer support the Outlook connection ? How can I avoid this in the future ?

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi. I created a new account under outlook, as I got the email address I wanted (very excited!!!). My hotmail has so much spam, so I don't want to link the two as aliases - but just transfer my folders across and then cancel the hotmail account. How can I transfer these folders across from an old hotmail address to my new outlook address (usernames are different).
I am sure it is possible, just need help in doing it - I have tried! THANK YOU
