I am not able to connect my Hotmail ID and Outlook.com ID.
I would like to use my outlook.com ID as default, but I am not able to.
When I try to add my Hotmail ID as "Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias"
I get following error "You can't add an alias with the domain hotmail.com. Try an email address that has a different domain."
I was reading some blog and it suggested that now I can add Hotmail with Outlook.
I have created Hotmail ID which I didn't used but I used that for my windows phone now I want to retrieve password which I forgotten but was unable to on that as I have not sent any mail or created any folder.
So this message comes Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are the account owner.
I need this ID password as all my phone details were linked to this only.
Please help me out or provide some solution to regain my phone data linked to this ID.
Why is it that I can still sign in with my Hotmail ID, or use a Outlook ID? I never had anything to notify me when I wouldn't be able to use my Hotmail ID anymore, but have still lost everything that was in my account and folders!
I recently lost all my messages and have gained no help whatsoever in retrieving them, I asked questions for them to be passed over or locked. Will no-one actually help people on here?
My email id *** Email address is removed for privacy *** got compromised and hacked. People who did this, also changed my alternate email id and phone number where I could have retrieved my id / password and now I cannot access my account. I am in touch with Microsoft and hopefully will get this sorted. But no assurance from their side. I have tried all possible links to reset password, chat, call Microsoft but it seems no one has a solution yet or can send a reset link
This is a genuine case and this account id was with me for past 25 years. All my business, registered and important sites where my id was registered are lost. I cannot even pay my bills as I used to get notification on this id
What a struggle
Can someone help in Microsoft
I need to get a rest link so I can access my id back.
