This is the second day and I have uninstalled and re-installed and still getting the same error message. HELP!!!

When I try to access www.hotmail.com it gives me the login for outlook and says 'enter your microsoft account password'

I enter my hotmail username and password and it says

'That password is incorrect. Be sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account.'

I dont have a microsoft account. I have a HOTMAIL ACCOUNT which Ive had since 1997 (before microsoft owned it)

I just NEED to login to my hotmail

I set up a microsoft account and now it just takes me to that without allowing me any way of seeing my original hotmail account.

I JUST NEED TO GET INTO MY HOTMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!

Since upgrading to outlook.com all of my emails from my hotmail account have been deleted. Is it possible to retrieve the emails somehow?

hello,

I've gone off my email provider and want to change it so I thought I'd try a hotmail address. I go to hotmail.com, but the only thing that comes up is the outlook page which I don't want. It has my current unwanted email address at the top right. All I want is a hotmail address but it seems something's preventing me from getting one. What on earth am I doing wrong? Any advice to stop me going mad would be appreciated. All the best, Sel

I am having issue's with my hotmail account which is linked to my mail on my Iphone! - I can receive emails but I can't send any outgoing mail - I get a message saying my username or password for SMPT is incorrect. -it isn't incorrect as i have checked and restarted and reset etc etc - checked issue with Apple and they have said that it's an issue that Microsoft need to help with?

What should i do?

Hi,

So I found out today that my hotmail account was being used for sending spam so I made a new hotmail account and want to close this one. However, every time I go to the account settings screen and go to the close account section and hit close account, it just returns me to the overview section of the account settings menu again without doing anything. I have done this multiple times and the same result still occurs. I even de-linked my Xbox gamertag from this account so there are no payment options on this account. Is there anyway for my account to be closed?

It appears that someone has hacked into my hotmail account and changed the password reset settings (phone, email, security question) so I cannot retrieve account. Form to enter personal information keeps telling me not enough information supplied. How do I fix?

I cannot use the password I have written down to sign into my hotmail account. I tried to reset my password, but am unable to do so, because I don't recognize the email address listed, and when I fill out the information on the account reset page, I am told that there is not enough information to get back into my account. How do I rectify this issue. I tried calling, but am told that all answers are on the support site. I am unable to get anywhere on the site, given that I only have 3 options that I cannot use.

Hey there guys. Earlier on I was trying to access an old account to reset my password for another service. I have one email address that I only use for my old jewelry business and rarely checked it in a while. But then when I hopped over to the Hotmail site to log in and proceed with the password reset, Hotmail gave me an error every time I attempted to log into the account.

I was using all the correct credentials and I even tried to reset the password on my Hotmail account but this also gave me an error message stating that the account was incorrect. This account was never really used as I said I only used it with my jewelry business so it has been a good two years. Online chat just gave me a link for re identifying my account and password reset. When I informed her that neither worked she got frazzled and terminated the chat. I tried to set up a new email via MSN.com to get the email name back and MSN told me that it was "reserved through hotmail or outlook" and I can not add it through outlook as I can not get the msn.com extension. I need help as I am applying for a job and the original password for this service expired so it sent a email link to my old msn.com address that I can not access and I can not ask it to send it to a different address or even my other msn.com address.

So anyone got any idea on what is going on here? Or has anyone else experienced the same problems with disused accounts disappearing?

By the way this Hotmail account ended in " @msn.com " I don't know if that helps at all but that's all the information I can provide.
