Windows Live Mail FAQ
Hello everybody ! this is the last change to get my email account back. I have tried so many ways to get into my Hotmail account *removed for privacy* unfortunately one day Microsoft locked out my account under "security purposes" but to be honest Microsoft is getting me more problems and a big headache than the hacker. I have tried to reset my password. When I do it it appears that I have tried so many times even when I only tried once. Also I answered the questions on the questioner such as my name, date of birth, security question that to be honest I don't remember because I opened this email account 9 or 10 years ago. We are a military family and we've moved so many time from countries, even when I got married I changed my name, so I don't know what name I put on that account. I hope you guys could understand my situation. I've tried everything even I talked to Microsoft support by phone but they couldn't do anything. This is the last case number provided: L3 1218771212 and 102964996. If Microsoft wants to make sure that I am the owner of this account they can make some questions such as my contact names or emails even something that I remember. Also when Microsoft asks me to remember about my old email address (Yahoo) to send me a code. I noticed that that account has been deactivated because I rarely used. So my question is.... Is there any way to recover my Hotmail account back???? this account is very important for me and it is so frustrating that been in Japan and calling to this company they couldn't do anything to help me. Like many other posters on this site, I can no longer access my Xbox Live account as my Hotmail account was hacked and i have been unable to reset the account.
I originally set up my hotmail about 15 years ago but stopped using it for emails about 4/5 years ago. However it was the email i used to set up my Xbox live ID. I didnt change it when i changed my email provider as there was no reason to.
However a year or two ago my hotmail was hacked and then subsequently blocked. The rescue email address is my old work email from my previous firm (no longer trading) so i cannot access it and because it has been about 5 years since i used my hotmail account i am unable to remember the detail the questionnaire asks when trying to follow the rescue option online with Microsoft.
for the past year or two my Xbox Live has logged in automatically on my Xbox 360 so i had no problem but fairly recently it has prompted me to log in which i cant do as the email account was blocked by microsoft and i dont know the password!
So like many others i have tried all the options to reset or rescue my hotmail account, and filled in the form many times without any success.
I appreciate the need for security but this is stupid, surely there is a way i can rescue the account still, or to be honest i would be fine never using the hotmail account again, i just want to be able to access my Xbox live ID/account so i can use my xbox again online!
Can someone please suggest if there is some way of sorting this, and Mods please dont point me in the direction of he rescue questionnaire, as quite clearly i have stated above i have completed this many many times without any luck.
