Question about Outlook Express

I have been working on a movie for a month. I pressed save many times and have closed and reopened the program to work on the video before with no issue. This time when I closed the program and tried to reopen the file (a .wlmp file), it said the program had not closed properly and would I like to recover my project. I clicked recover, but nothing opened. I closed the program again and tried re-opening my file. It said it was corrupted and gave me error 80070057. Can I recover this corrupted file??
