Recently my daughter's email account asked her for her date of birth when she first signed in, that is where the problem began. She was working on her iPad and accidentally hit 2001 as her birth year but she meant to hit 1998. The page then loaded to a
new page and it was too late to change it back. She is now recognized on her account as a child under 13 and needs me to sign in every time she needs to use her email account or any account hooked with her mail (Facebook,Instagram,Skype,Twitter). When I sign
into my account to give her access to her accounts it will not let me. I also checked my account details and her account is not under Kid's Accounts. How do I solve this problem ? I do not want her account to be hooked with mine as a kid's account.
A year ago I created an hotmail.com email account for my minor child,
"successfully purchased Online service age verification on Saturday, June 02, 2012" (that was a $0.50 payment to Microsoft)
and joined "Microsoft Family Safety".
Now my child cannot login to the email account (error message "That Microsoft account doesn't exist").
When I go to https://account.live.com/MyKids.aspx under my own (parent) account I see a message "You have no child accounts".
I still see my child's account under https://familysafety.microsoft.com but that's pretty useless -- I need email access.
Please help, I want my kid's email account back.
This is my third request for HELP. I cannot get into my email account since I recently changed my password. I created a new email account which when I went to use it the message said this account doesn't exist. I am
using an old email account which I dare not log off from incase something happens to this one too. I had a message from the Microsoft Team saying I would receive a reply to my request within 24 hours, have heard nothing. The ref code on the Microsoft email
is SRX121154475231D. DAYS ARE STARTING TO GO BY AND I GET NO HELP ON THIS REQUEST!!!!!!! AT THE MOMENT HAVE A VERY LOW OPINION OF MICROSOFT AND CAN SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS FELT INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATED WITH THEM.
I recently created and deleted an email address in Windows Live Admin Center... I now need to recreate the email address, but am getting the following message:
The requested account name is already in use or was used in the past and has not been through the required waiting period to re-use.
I do not have time to wait 30 days... I need to be able to create the email account now. This is somewhat urgent... please help!

I signed into my old account to delete it because I don't use it anymore which was *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I followed the process to delete it and after it was deleted it went to the sign in page and I assumed it was deleted. After that I logged into my current account
which is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it was like a new account and all my important emails that I kept was deleted. How is this possible when I know that the account I deleted was my old one and not my current one? I don't know how it could delete my current account when
I actually deleted my old one and made sure of it before I closed it. This is stressing me out and I need my important emails back from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Please help me ASAP. My important emails were kept in my "Keeps" folder and some in my inbox.
I am getting the following error when I try to connect to my email account through Windows Live Mail:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail () account.
Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB
I tried removing my email account and re-adding it and also tried uninstalling Windows Live Mail and reinstalling, but nothing has fixed the problem. It worked on my computer yesterday but has not worked at all today.
I can access my email through outlook.com, but not through the email client. Please help.

I have been contacting microsoft for a year now regarding my email account which was hacked and all I keep getting is that it will be sent to the escalation team, this has been done numerous times and I NEVER hear anything back, I'm so sick and tired of
it now. I cant verify password so it goes to another screen saying that it will send code to phone or email, neither are mine so i say I cant verify code and it it directs me to a recover your microsoft account screen where it asks security questions which
have obviously been set up by whoever hacked the account......I answer the questions and get this back:-
We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account ******************. Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership. Microsoft takes
the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are the account owner.
My xbox account is set up with that email address so cant even get into that, So sick and tired of never getting a response, staff just dont seem to know what to do. Anytime that I've spoke over the phone its the same and they never keep any records
of the problems I've had. It's a complete joke
I think my account has been hacked, and I can't change or reset my password. There had been some unusual activity on my email account already, so I had reset my password, but then I got this e-mail this morning:
| Microsoft account | |
| Security info confirmation | |
| It looks like you added some security info to your Microsoft account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***): | |
| Alternate email address: *** Email address is removed for privacy *** | |
| You can use this info to reset your password if you forget it. | |
| |
| If you didn't make this request, click here [a link given] to cancel. | |
| Thanks, | |
| The Microsoft account team ----------------------------------------------- I don't know either of the people whose e-mail addresses are given, and it looked like a legit e-mail from Microsoft (with the shield and everything), so I did "click here" to cancel. (Even though I probably shouldn't have, and I never click on e-mails....) And now I can't change my password. Or reset. Every time I go to the page. Please help. I have had this e-mail account for years, and I do pay for my subscription. Thanks very much. |
I uninstalled email account and reinstalled yesterday (August 16, 2013) and received my emails a few at a time within a period of 1 hour. I woke up this morning (August 17) and it is not syncing whatsoever even though I can see mail online and on my computer.
Also, when I uninstalled/reinstalled my email account I lost all emails prior to August 16. Why is the support status saying Outlook is "running normally" when it is clearly not. Perhaps you should change support status to show that some users are still
experiencing problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
