I am using windows 8, and I am unable to get my College email account to use Windows live mail or the mail program that comes with windows 8. before upgrading to windows 8 my windows 7 system would work with this email account and windows live mail. Windows
live says it is connected to the account, but never receives mail, I can go to the web interface and see new mail. If it is needed the email address of concern is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Thanks for any help

My email account was closed on me by Microsoft. I have no idea why this account was closed. I get no help from any Microsoft site. It is very pathetic actually. I am frusterated.
Hello
I have had a hotmail.com address for about 15 years, but haven't checked it recently, perhaps for a year or more. I have a feeling it was shut down due to inactivity and/or outlook changeover. It has been my backup account with GMail for the last several years, and I recently received a message from GMail saying the hotmail address was invalid, which was my first indication that something was amiss.
Microsoft Customer Support wrote: I was able to verify that your account does not exist in our database.
When I explained to Customer support that I was referring to a potentially terminated email account, they suggested I post to this forum.
Is there something that can be done to restore the account? I'm thinking there must be some sort of backup -- seems pretty irresponsible to delete someone's email account permanently, especially since I've been with hotmail for 15+ years.
Thanks for any help!

I recently went to log in to my other Outlook email account and I got a notification saying the account was under the suspension of being hacked. I did the account recovery form (twice) since I do not have
access to the account that I put down as the recovery email. Due to the very poor questions on the account recovery form, and the fact that the questions (in specific: email for previously emailed accounts and subject of previous emailed accounts) are not
re memorable considering I don't send emails (and the last time I sent an email was a year or so ago), because I mainly use my email to receive emails from websites. So now I'm contacting you because I need access back to my email account quickly.
Basically I found out why my email account was blocked and will never be unblocked(hacked and illegal content sent from it)....thanks to a visit from the police and them scaning my stuff and putting me in the clear, hotmail still won't unblock. I don't
care about my oldemail account, what I DO care about is the gamertag I had on it with its 65k gamerscore. Is there anyway without UNBLOCKING my account to get my gamertag onto my new email address?
Hi,
So I've recently set up an email alias to my main account that's affiliated with my graduate school (my graduate school forwarded all emails sent to that .edu email to our main address - in my case, my live.com email), however I've been having some issues
with being able to send an email from that alias. When I create a new message, or reply to a message, sometimes my alias is in the drop down box, and sometimes it isn't, it's never consistent.
I thought that making that .edu address my primary alias might fix things. Instead, I can't login to my email account anymore (either my live.com address, or my .edu address) as I keep receiving a message to log out of my outlook 365 account. I have no
idea what outlook 365 is, nor have I ever registered an email to outlook 365.
I managed to fix that, but now I'm stuck with my initial issue, that is, I can't send an email from my alias. I have no idea what triggers it to work, but on random days, it'll allow me to send emails from my .edu account, and on some days, that won't
be an option.
Any help would be appreciated!
Yesterday I just found that my email "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" has been hacked. I very rarely to login this email account. I just use this email to receive my online money transfer notice or reset my password for my other products or services. I tried so many times
to use this link to reset the password, but it doesn't work. Also, the recovery link. The secure email is not mine. I have no idea how he changed my secure information. The previous secure email and phone number that I used is *@live.ca and 647-***-9898(I
can provide evidences). This email is very important to me. I didn't use a lot because it is my Chinese name which is not convenience for my business. That's why I used it for my all Chinese bank related secure email (e.g. Alipay-sometime like paypal, now
I can't even change my email address because my email has been hacked. He can easily get in my account and changed my password and take all my money). I feel very unsecured. I hope you someone can help me with that. I tried to call in, they help me send the
email to Online Safety Team, and they send me to here. I can provided my some products is linked to this email.
I opened my hotmail account today to find all of my emails from my inbox (excluding the ones that were flagged and about six of the most recent ones) deleted!! My email account certainly has not been inactive (I check it very regularly) and it was changed
to Outlook several months ago and nothing happened then. It is only the emails in my Inbox that were seemingly affected, the emails in my folder are still there.
Please can someone help me?
