I created a movie (although my preview screen is black - that's another issue) and saved it to DVD - it plays fine on my computer, both audio and video, but the DVD disc will not work on my DVD player. I tried importing the file to Windows DVD maker, but it will not allow me, saying MP4 format is not supported. How can I make a true video DVD that I will be able to watch on my TV screen?

Using Movie Maker 2012 with Windows 7

I have no problem creating a photo show (slide show) with window movie maker, to burn a photo show with DVD maker adding a menu no problem, watching preview, menu and photo show ok. However after burning and viewing the new DVD on my PC or DVD player all images (picture size) are to narrow. I used the movie maker and DVD maker many times before without a problem. With Roxio no problem burning a DVD.

please help

How can I burn a DVD of a movie created and published in Windows 8 version of Movie Maker?  I tried purchasing and downloading Roxio CD/DVD burner software, but although the DVD will play on my laptop, it still doesn't play on a DVD player connected to a television for viewing by larger groups of people.

Will Windows Movie Maker or any other software that is on a usual Windows 7 computer make a DVD

made up of JPEG still pictures and MPEG4 videos that will work on one of the normal DVD players to be

shown on a TV?  The DVDs I've made so far leave out all the MPEG4 videos.  These mixed files show

perfectly but only on the computer screen and I would like to be able to see them on a regular TV.

I burned a DVD In windows movie maker live using Vista OS and it will not play on the DVD player on the TV or the Blue Ray player. How can I get it to work?

I also Made a movie in movie maker 2012 with windows 8.1 and saved it to the 1080 option to a flash drive MPEG 4 file. I tried playing this with Windows Media Player and it would not play. I looked over the questions and downloaded codecs? from Microsoft to play MPEG $ but still did not work.

I made a movie in WMM using photos of my trip. I added music also. It plays great within WMM and Windows Media Player. I saved the movie and burned the disc with Windows media Player. The movie is 58 minutes long, 5.56gb. I used a dual layer DVD+R disc. When I play it in my DVD player, only half the movie plays, then stops. The whole movie plays great in the computer, but only half on a dvd. Any suggestions? I even install Cyberlink Media Suite 10 to try to burn it there. But when I use that, it won't burn a dvd saying some of the files are corrupt or missing.

I have created a movie in Movie Maker that lasts about 80 minutes and transfers normally to DVD Maker.  The resulting DVD will play in Media Player, but is not recognized in a two-year old Sony DVD player.  If I split the movie into two DVDs of about 40 minutes each, the DVDs are recognized and play without a problem on the DVD player.  If my understanding is correct, DVD Maker should be able to produce a playable DVD up to 150 minutes.  What am I doing wrong?
hi have windows 8, movie maker, but there is no way its telling me how to make my movie work on a dvd player, can it be done still as in older windows
