“Pictures . . . could not be found” is nonsense!

In WLMail, when I forward an email containing pictures dispersed within the text, I get the message - - -

One or more of the pictures in this message could not

be found. When you send this message these pictures

will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this

message?

                        Yes                 No

Nonsense! WLMail can and does find these pictures, and it does send them, but not as the sender intended.

What WLMail can not and will not do is keep the pictures dispersed within the text as they are before the email is forwarded.

Instead WLMail bastardizes the email before it is sent, includes all pictures as attachments at the top of the message, and completely destroys the original layout.

As far as I know, WLMail is the only email client/program that does this.

I guess the big question is why? And why has this not been rectified? Seriously.

I could hazard a guess, but what is really needed is an answer from Microsoft.

Original Title: Messages with attachments don't go through in WIndows Live Mail. How can I fix this?

I've been trying to send e-mails with some photos attached. They don't go through, even though there was no problem before.

I am using Windows Live Mail with Windows 7.  When emails are sent (with attachments) from one particular sender to three or four recipients, I don't receive the attachment - the others all do.  When the attachment is sent only to me I receive it.  The attachments in question are both PDF and Word.

I have a problem with some attachments. After I open some attachments my outlook freezes and will not open any emails. I have to shut down my computer and restart to get email to work.  The computer checks out OK. What is the problem?

Original Title: Email problem

Both gingerandbuddy and Tuscoro have described exactly the problem I have encountered with attachments (all attachments).  Everything was working fine with Windows Mail until a week or so ago when suddenly attachments wouldn't open. One of the suggestions I read somewhere was to switch to Windows Live Mail, which I did after a lengthy download time. The problem persists, however, except that I can now print PDF files directly (a new option in Windows Live Mail) but I still can't open or save them. I have also received the message that some very reliable software I was attempting to download contains a virus (which I don't believe) and the download was automatically deleted. I have Windows Vista, IE9, and McAfee Security Scan. I have done a complete scan for viruses with none found. My service provider is the local cable company which is a part of a major telecommunications group. I think the problem must have started when one of the automatic updates was installed on my computer in the background and the other users seem to be of the same opinion. None of the answers provided to them solve the problem.  It is serious for me because I receive much important information via attachments. Help is needed urgently --- perhaps we should revert to an older version of Windows Vista, but how can that be done?

original title: Attachments cannot be opened or saved

How do I open an .RAR attachment (pictures) on Windows Live Mail? They won't open in Adobe Reader (default) and tried other reasonable programs to open. I've even unclicked my security block, still doesn't work.

When trying to attach a file to my outgoing e-mails, my windows shuts down and goes offline. My "attachment " icon has disappeared and am trying to add attachments via the "insert" drop down box.... What's the fix?
I get a 'prohibited' sign on emails with attachments from my 'safe contacts' I would expect since they are from my safe contacts that they would not be prohibited.
I can't add attachments or photographs in Hotmail
