Whenever I try to upload an attachments from my hard drive or memory device to an email, I get as far as opening the file, and then an error message appears saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working. We are looking for a solution to this problem" Then the page closes down, I lose my email and the page then reopens! Help!

"ATTACHMENTS"

"We're still getting set up." Man what's going on!

Leave the Menu in Outlook.com mail "ON" and quit making it appear and disappear.

If i wanna see magic i'll get off Outlook.con and turn on the TV.

When I attempt to download a file from Hotmail I get a Certificate Error. This is unrelated to I.E (I have just upgrated to I.E 10) as it occurs in Firefox and Google Chrome too.

This problem also occurs when I try and download an email attachment that I have downloaded before with no problems.

I have forwarded a Hotmail message to my Gmail account and I can download the attachments fine. Therefore I assume the problem is purely a Hotmail (Outlook) issue.

This problem has occurred since yesterday (27th August 2013).

Toward end of last week, I began having issues when clicking on attachments - you could see the status bar say it was downloading, but then nothing happened and no error message. Tried wireless and directly connected to network.  Same issue.
I then noticed that emails from business associates no longer displayed their photos or company logos in their "business card" signatures.
I am currently unemployed and have been sent documents to which I need access in order to be submitted for interviews.
This is a huge issue to me (and probably others).
I noticed a similar thread, 5 actually, that are now locked.  This has been an issue for some time apparently, even longer than I've been personally experiencing it.
Until now, I have merely tolerated this new Outlook - it has been a terrible experience to start with and now this may just cause me to stop using this product altogether!

What is the status and when is the solution to be implemented?

...Don't know about anyone else, but I've done all those things as a first line, but still no show. Silverlight comes up with a 404 error now when trying to download any attachments that were viewable with it. Still no luck downloading them either from message pane...
Hi, I'm unable to download any attachments from my emails. keeps coming up with a "404 Server error"

Really need to solve this one so i can access important documents. Any chance you can help?
When I receive an email that has more than 5 attachments, I can open them all.  If I try to forward or send an email with more than 5 attachments, I CAN'T!!!  Very frustrated!!!
Suddenly I've lost the ability to download any sort of attachments with my Hotmail account.

I've tried 3 Macs using Snow Leopard and Lion, on wireless and wired connections - as well as a PC on a different internet connection.

Have tried Safari & Firefox on the Macs and IE on the PC.

I can view the attachments using "online view" but if I try to download from there I get a message from my browser saying  "You have asked Firefox to connect securely to  dub126.afx.ms, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure."

If I try to download directly from my inbox there is no activity at all.

However, on a different Hotmail account I can download attachments - on the same computers / connections that were previously giving me issues.

So it would seem my particular Hotmail account is giving me issues rather than anything my side.

I have not changed any settings or system recently.

This is crippling my ability to work so I'm a bit desperate...!
