When I try and install Office 365 update I get prompted to close applications.  I close all applications but can't seem to close "Microsoft Alert Daemon" & "SyncServiceAgent" - both Outlook related applications that I don't see as being open.  This prevents me from updating Office 365.
I'm attempting to open and play a movie (WMV format) in Movie Maker.  When I import it and press play, I get a brief scratchy sound, and then nothing.  Sound also stops working on other applications (e.g. Chrome, which was playing a YouTube video).  When I closed Movie Maker and restarted other applications, sound was restored.  This happens every time I attempt to edit a video.  I'm running Windows 8.1 with the most recent version of Windows Essentials.  Any thought on what could be causing this?
I start up Windows without running the SkyDrive applications.
I delete a file in the PC/SkyDrive folder.
I start the SkyDrive sync applications.
The file deleted on the PC is restored from the SkyDrive server.
How do I force SkyDrive to put the file into the Trash on the server.
Google Drive does this and asks whether to delete the Trash.

Hi,

I'm currently using Windows Family Safety to restrict applications for my son on his computer (Windows 7).  It was originally working quite well but not certain applications will not be allowed to run.  A prompt will appear, stating that the program isn't currently allowed to execute and provides the ability for myself to fill in my Microsoft Live account details and then click "Allow".

However, this doesn't appear to allow the program to execute.  Running the program again will just cause the prompt to reappear, with the same result if filled in and submitted.  This is very frustrating as he's unable to run new games or programs on the computer.

I've tried removing and reinstalling Windows Live Essentials (including Family Safety) numerous times and have removed him from monitoring and then added him back.  All with no change.  What is odd, is that the programs that he can usually run are still working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Dave
Today, 3/10/13, Daylight Saving Time started.  I'm using a Mac with Outlook 2011 version 14.3.1 (130117).  All of my applications are fine and other applications show the right time.  Outlook Web Access to Exchange 2010 SP2 shows that the correct time adjustment has been made on the server, at least through the webapp localization features.

My Outlook 2011 client is set to the correct time zone, in my case Pacific. Instead of it showing 10:00 AM as it is now, at the time of this posting, it shows emails that I send and receive at 11:00 AM (+2 hours standard time instead of +1).  I changed the timezone in Outlook east by one zone to try to manually offset this, but Outlook ignores this attempt to workaround the problem.

Is there a patch for this?
Hello
I would like to find out whether it is technically possible to synchronize contacts and calendar in Outlook 2011 for MAC with applications calendar and contacts - using iCloud in the Mac. When the synchronization settings for the Outlook Calendar and Contacts to select only - On My Computer.
Thank you for your answer
