Hi,

I have lost all my emails from around the middle of august seemingly since an update? I have not been hacked - the account settings are correct - I have not deleted them.... Can anyone help... I cant seem to get any response from Microsoft.. I am loosing the will to live and will change my mail provider ... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help...

Unable to close hotmail account

I am trying to close my Hotmail account. When I go to Account settings, close account, type in my password, it says "You need to deactivate your Hotmail account. Once you've done that, your Microsoft account will be closed automatically after a period of inactivity". When I click the deactivate link, it then tells me "To close your Outlook account, you must first cancel your billing service. Go to Microsoft Account and Billing Services at https://billing.microsoft.com." There is no option on this page to cancel billing and when I click the Help link it keeps taking me to Xbox help. Please assist me with closing my hotmail account, thanks

when I sign into my Microsoft account, it takes me to account settings, I want to go to my inbox directly. Please help !!

How can I change my date of birth in the account settings after i have paid to have another account verfiy it is acceptable to log in to my email?

I accidentally changed my birth year to 2013 in the account settings and it thought that i wasn't old enough to have an email account. I paid the fee to allow anouther account to verify it is ok for me log into my email account. Still after more than 1 week I cannot change that information. In addition to that, since that day I can no longer download email to my smartphone. What can I do to fix this.?

Lost All Emails after renaming an account

I lost all my old emails after adding an email account alias and changing the primary alias.

Here are the exact steps I did:

1) My previous active account was *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I signed into the outlook.com using this email and was able to view my old emails

2) I created a new email Alias *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

3) On the account settings *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was listed as primary with the new alias

4) On the account settings I changed the primary alias to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

5) Signed out and resigned in using the new alias account i.e. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

At this point my inbox was empty

6) Signed out and resigned in using the old email i.e. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

At this point my inbox was still empty

7) I updated the Account settings to revert to the old setup i.e. make *** Email address is removed for privacy *** the primary email/alias and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as the alias

Can you help me recover my old emails with *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as the primary alias

and now whenever i login it goes straight to account settings and i can;t get back to my actually email.

so weird. and frustrating. how do i get it back to my email ?

I've reviewed most of the suggestions and helps for recovering a hacked/stolen account but the solutions haven't helped for my case. Just after my account was overtaken, the hacker got into my account settings and changed my alias (my email account address). When I follow the steps to reset my password using the stolen email account address, I always get a message that says "That Microsoft account is incorrect, please try again".

A notification was sent to me at my alternate email address advising me that I had changed my primary alias. I re-attempted the pw reset with the new alias and I got into my account. I then changed my password and primary alias once again, exited and logged back into my account, using the new alias and password. However, my account looks like a brand new one. All of my contacts, emails, folders, etc are gone. Can these be recovered? Thanks.

I am able to send email but I am not able to receive it on my desktop computer using outlook. When I go to my account settings I see an error message that says it is unable to retrieve email because my other inbox is too full. I pretty much emptied my other email inbox from my web mail site but still not able to retrieve my email on outlook?

I wanted to access my account settings. After entering my sign-in information as requested by the system, it then asks me for a Verification Code. I made several attempts at having the Verification Code sent to my e-mail address, but the code has never arrived. How do I get through this?
