Cannot recover my Hotmail Account/Account Recovery not working

12. October 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: account recovery
I have an email account that I cannot access.  When logging in, I get a message that someone else may be trying to use my account.  I have tried resetting the password, the account recovery, and having a code sent to my home phone number.  Nothing works.  When I get the code sent to my home phone number and enter it, I then get the message again that someone else may be using the account.  I have reset my password twice, still getting the message that someone else may be using the account.  I have filled out the account recovery form twice, both times stating that I have not included enough information and that the account is blocked.  How do I get out of this loop, gain access to my account, or get my account un-blocked?  Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I turned my XBOX on the other day to find it requested my LIVE email and password i am guessing this is something to do with the Hotmail, outlook merge, after trying a few times with the error 'Incorrect password of email' i then tried signing in on Microsoft.com, again no luck so i tried the security question and again no luck ( i have not used my live account for emails of signed in for a long time as i only use it for my 'XBOX LIVE') so i then tried a account recovery (Account recovery request 104042974) i then received an email saying Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership, so i am a bit stumped as of where to go from here? is there anyway to recover my account as i cannot get on my 'XBOX LIVE' account (Donkeypunch2402)

Thanks,
Jake

My attempts to complete the Account Recovery questionnaire are getting nowhere as I have not been given answers to a couple of fundamental questions.

Just to prove there is no human in the mix could you please contact me via E mail and I will furnish you with my telephone number so that someone can speak to me and try to get this issue resolved

As I have explained before my Hotmail account has been blocked and I cannot reset my password as there are ambiguous questions on the Account recovery questionnaire..that should do the trick to trigger a standard cut and paste "moderator" response

My other email account is now blocked.

I recently went to log in to my other  Outlook email account and I got a notification saying the account was under the suspension of being hacked. I did the account recovery form (twice) since I do not have access to the account that I put down as the recovery email. Due to the very poor questions on the account recovery form, and the fact that the questions (in specific: email for previously emailed accounts and subject of previous emailed accounts) are not re memorable considering I don't send emails (and the last time I sent an email was a year or so ago), because I mainly use my email to receive emails from websites. So now I'm contacting you because I need access back to my email account quickly.

Hotmail Account Compromised- Need to update Security Info Now not in 30 days.

30. September 2013 · Write a comment · Categories: Hotmail, Outlook.com · Tags: account recovery, Hotmail Account Compromised, security info

Hi I have a customer who has had their Hotmail account compromised twice now.

How can I expedite the 30 day waiting period to update security info?

I've been able to get control of the account both times by going through the account recovery form.

The problem I have is that the person who compromised the account setup their emails under "security info".

So when I add the customers secondary email address under the security info and select to remove the other bad email addresses I get:

"We have a waiting period for the updates to take effect. on..., we'll delete your old security info:"

My problem is that the account will get taken over again if I wait 30days.

How do I update the email address now without the 30 day delay?

Thanks, in advance to anyone who can assist.

Regard,

Andrew

Somehow, I converted my alternate hotmail account to a child account and now I can’t get in. What do I do?

I cannot find a workaround anywhere.  I tried doing an account recovery, but all that did was let me change the password.  I still get a screen that says "You need a parent's permission."  I then get asked to provide my credit card information, my address, etc. and pay $0.50!  It's never been a child account, so I shouldn't be forced to verify it as such.  Does anyone know where I can go to regain access to my account?  I've only seen found link where moderators said to go in a separate thread, but those links are broken.  Please help, as I cannot get my emails anymore.

Thanks

I’ve not been “hacked”

Hi, I've sent quite a few account recovery requests for my email and thus far have had no success due to the fact that I used that email purely for social networks and cannot remember any of the subject lines or contacts.

When I purchased my iPhone I tried to sign into the mail application with said email which is what hotmail perceived to have been a hacker trying to gain access to my account.

I am a 15 year old female and I have no idea what a hacker would want with my account.

I need access again as it has emails on there sent from family members and friends that I need access to again.

Thank you.
