my account name shows different name?

Hi guys,

In my account settings, display name is set up as Ivana Ristic, however whenever I'm sending emails or my contacts try to send me an email the name displayed is someone else's, it goes under Marija Markovic.

How do I change this, giving the fact everything has been set up properly on my side.

Please help, this is driving me insane, I'm even considering closing the account because of this error.

I cannot login because account doesn't exist ''That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address or get a new account.''
but at the same time I cannot create a new account with the same name because ''This email address is part of a reserved domain such as live.com, hotmail.com, or msn.com. Please enter a different email address.''

so? does it exist anymore or not?????????????????????

I think it wasn't a great idea changing everything to outlook.com, I see only unsatisfied customers, right like me!!!
Please fix it ASAP because I have very important stuff in that mailbox!!!!!

Hi,

I have the same issue as many people started to report as far as a year ago.

I have Outlook.com account. I have my own domain registered with the account. it is (remove random characters between letters)

I am trying to add a new email address ( a new account) and I already ordered a lot of business cards.

It does not allow me to do that, the error message says:

"That account name is not allowed for use with this service."

I use a simple short one-word legitimate first name. nothing fancy.

It is not working, could anyone please help me.

Also i am just curious, this problem appeared more than a year ago and was known to Microsoft. What's up with that - does it really take that lonk to figure it out?

Hi,

I am trying to create a new email id on my custom domain in Windows Live Admin center. Email id is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, but I get an error "That account name is not allowed for use with this service".

Can anyone pls. look into this issue and assist me how to proceed further. I have tried to create this email id using different alternates like *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as well, but was unsuccessful and got the same message. I was able to create other email ids on this Domain but only this one cannot be created.

Please help me.

I have a paid version of Hotmail that I changed it's name to Outlook. When I check the account name the alias name is there. I don't see my original Hotmail email account.

Now, I created another email under Outlook however it is also saying it is an Alias, but of what email?

My issue is, I like to keep my new Hotmail/outlook primary email and I like to disengage the secondary alias I had created under Outlook.

It seems that the secondary email is sending all incoming mail to my primary. Both appear to be aliases as I mentioned before. How can I disconnect them from each other? will deleting the second alias will unlink both? I which this was a phone call or a chat cause it would be easier to explain.

Please help?

I am trying to add an email account to my custom domain (www.sdepl.com), but I get the following error with one of the accounts.

Please resolve as soon as possible.

Originally, I had my @live account name as my login and my primary alias. I changed my primary alias to a gmail account so now it shows up on everything associated with my live account. How can I remove my gmail alias so that my live account name shows up on everything again?

My laptop was stolen and on the replacement, was forced to use Windows 8.

When I keyed in the account number/email address, I was tired and a numeric character was left out of my account name ... I have since discovered that my keyboard frequently does this; have changed batteries and it seems fine!

Having focused on getting major applications and data onto the laptop, I'm finding I can't change the account.

I have deleted it on line as an account.

Can someone please tell me how I can correct the email address on the laptop as I now fing that if I delete the account, I lose all the data and applications I have downloaded.

Can't add aparticular member name harshita under my domain in Admin Center (rajeshdugar.com),

error: "That account name is not allowed to be used with this service".

harshita is my daughters name and hence I would like to add harshita and harshitadugar as member. Please help.
