Windows Live Mail FAQ

I have two email addresses with the same name!!! My original exists, the newer one is blocked!!! All very strange and distressing.

When Skype was being integrated with Outlook I recieved an email request to do so.

After I completed the link I was unable to access my Hotmail/Outlook account inbox.

I continued to reset my password as advised but I was notified that my email address did not exist!!

Shocked I immediately re-created my email using my original email address and I was able to do so.

When I tried to sign in, I found the inbox blocked.

I checked the Skydrive which should have contained pictures and files. It was empty.

Later I remembered I had linked my families hotmail accounts with linked account feature and I found my email in the list.

I was able to access my original email inbox and also my Skydrive contents were there too.

I immediately set up email forwarding to my secondary email.

Recently I recieved an email explaining that the linked account feature was to be dis-continued.

I had already raised an issue with Microsoft Customer Support without success.

I raised the issue again. Unfortunately I am still waiting for the technical team to respond.

Since the linked account feature has gone I cannot access my email.

I try to sign in via various sign in pages without success.

I have screenshots to prove my circumstances.

Basically I have a problem which should not have been allowed to happen.

My email address showed to be non-exixtant, the email did exist but I was able to re-create the email using the same address. The only way I can recieve my emails is via forwarding; which I set up when I initially gained access via the linked account feature.

I am desperate for a solution to my predicament.

I feel like my plight is being ignored.

Linked Account feature

Hello

I noticed that the linked account feature in outlook.com has been disabled. Is there a way to have multiple accounts signed in at once now?

I have multiple accounts that I jungle between multiple times every hour so for me it would be a BIG PROBLEM and unthinkable to have to sign in and sign out every time I want to go to their respective inboxes.

I have a professional email and personal email and mixing both sides of my life is not something I want to do. I need each account to be completely clean from the other and have it's own inbox/sent/contacts etc. Nor would the email forwarding be a viable option.

I know that outlook has a similar feature where the user needs to sign up at both accounts simultaneously to have access to both of them at a time and after a while it automatically asks for passwords again. Is this a feature you can add to outlook.com?

If the reasons why you disabled the linked account is for security purposes, can you PLEASE consider setting it up this way for the 'security measures'. Quite frankly I have never had any sort of issue with the linked accounts on outlook and tbh that is a big reason why I decided to stay with outlook/hotmail rather than upgrade to gmail. I use both accounts with very high security measures and the so called secondary accounts with lower risks I set them as forward to inbox so there is definitely no back door entry .

PLEASE REINSTATE THE LINKED ACCOUNTS FEATURE

Thank you for providing us with the excellent hotmail/outlook for so many years. I have been a user since I was 8 in 2001 and I want to remain satisfied with your services. PLEASE!!!

Linked Accounts feature

Hello

Now that the linked accounts feature in Outlook.com no longer works how can I manage having multiple account signed in at once?
I have a personal account and a professional one and I juggle between every hour so for me having to sign in and sign out each time is a BIG PROBLEM and unthinkable.

I don't want to have one mail forward to the other as I want each inbox to be completely organized and don't want to mix both sides of my life.

What is the other alternative?

I am aware that in Gmail there is a similar linked account feature, however in order to have them both sign in at once you need to log in both account and after a while they automatically log off. Is there a similar feature on outlook?

Let me know

Sara
