I have just tried using Story Remix, and there are a lot of cool things (mostly animated effects), but it seems to be missing things Movie Maker had.  Maybe, I am missing something here.  You seemed to be able to do a lot more with the title editing with Movie Maker.  I don't even see any good transitions between slides. IMO title animation and transition animation are essential to a good movie.

I don't get it, I see all these reviews saying how good it is, but unless you like fake animations in your slide show (which I do not) how is this better?  What is also strange is I do not see any peer reviews.  Millions of people loved Movie Maker if this is better, where are the reviews? Maybe, I am old school and want a "Real" video without the 3D fake animations. Movie Maker seemed to have so many more options, I still use it on my back up PC, and I have Pinnacle 20 and Cyberlink media suite 14.  For a 7-year-old program, I still use it with the combination of my paid ones.  Don't get me wrong, my Pinnacle 20 is excellent, but for easy quick transitions and titles, I can use it as one of the overlay tracks in my final edit of my movie.

I also could be bias about this, to me, Movie Maker was a great program for its time. It should have been improved, not replaced.  Just my two cents in this, and my curiosity. I am sure Story Remix is a great program, and I just do not know how to use it.
