some attachments to hotmail yield a message that says "Files with errors will not be uploaded" When I view the error it says, "…it appears to be empty." But I know it is not empty.

Certain files, Word files,  .doc or .docx,  that are not empty, cannot be loaded as an attachment because Hotmail seems to think they are empty files. 
Files are saved in folders imbedded in other folders. 
These seem to be files from a particular folder. But I can load Word files from every other folder, I think.
