Hi!

I found that I can't connect to Skype from Outlook.com but connect easily from SkyDrive.com.

In Outlook.com on the right pane I can see the following:

while in SkyDrive.com on the right pane I can see the following:

and I can chat in Skype from SkyDrive.com with no problem (but not from Outlook.com).

 

Further more - if I switch the language of Outlook.com to English (UK) then I immediately can connect to Skype (the icon appears on the right). Switching back to another language (Russian in my case) makes Skype unavailable again.

 

I use Internet Explorer 10/11, all cache dumped. Skype is linked to my Microsoft Account from the standalone desktop application.

 

P.S. Please, skip "optimize your browser", "Which browsers are supported by SkyDrive, People and Outlook.com" and "try another browser" step - these are not the cause of the issue at all.
