Skydrive apps will not stay logged on anymore

I have been using 2 step verification but decided to go ahead and make a strong password.  After I did this my SkyDrive account will not stay logged on with either my Windows Phone 8 or my Android tablet.  Before the password change I only had to logon once and it stayed logged on.  In order to resolve I have tried the following:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times
Removed 2 step verifcation
Deleted the cookies in IE on the Windows Phone (suggestion by Microsoft in a chat session)

Oddly, I can access my SkyDrive files through the Office 365 app and the OneNote app and am never asked to logo back on.

Sometimes I am asked to logon every time I go into the SkyDrive app.  Other times I can go a few days before it asks.  And sometimes I can be in the app for days, close it and go right back in and I am asked to logon.  So it is very inconsistent as to when it asks me to log back in.

I am not sure if my password change triggered something or if it coincided with an issue.  I cannot remember the date I changed my password but it has been several weeks.  Maybe 3 weeks ago.

I don't remember ever having to log back in before I changed my password so I don't think this is normal.
