I am trying to import Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail from a backup hard drive location. The files are marked Read Only. I saw that the attribute must be changed from READ ONLY. I changes it, but when I check the Property again the READ ONLY attribute remains after the change. Import says successful but folders are empty. How do I get rid of READ ONLY. All my permissions are set full control.

 

When I import, it says successful import instantly, but all folders are empty -nothing is imported. Do I nedd to change the READ ONLY attribute of the copied Mail folders and how do I do it. When I change  it, it process the files over 10 minutes, but the properrty attribute does not change. HELP. I need to get my mail back.
