Question about Outlook Express

I use :

* Windows 7

* Yahoo Mail Pro

* Windown Live Mail (WLM) client app.

I recently reset my system. Since doing so the WLM app is unable to send out or received e-mails.

I can still send and receive when using the Yahoo web-site, but I really do need to use the WLM client app. because of the amount of data/folders etc within it. Having previously used 'Outlook Express' I also really like the WLM format.

I contacted Yahoo support and was told:

" By default, we block access to Yahoo Mail from outdated apps that could leave your account vulnerable. A link then recommended :

" Remove your Yahoo account and re-add it to Windows Mail to activate the secure sign-in method."

Trouble is, I'm seriously reluctant to remove my Yahoo Account in case data within the WLM account is deleted when I do so. 

Aaaaaagh, please help!!!

I just realized my whole emails from 1.DEC.2020 to 27.JAN.2021. deleted from my account. 

No idea what happened. 

any idea? please?

I have tried to sort this myself for months. Windows Live stand alone email on Windows 7 OS. 
A few months ago suddenly the SMTP stopped working. I have POP3 email provided by the people who provide my website. Simplewebhosting. I have all the settings from their website. 
Tried every premutation even tried IMAP. 
Had a break through today and I am now stumped. 
SMTP works if I email my own email address however it will not send to any others tried gmail hotmail icloud etc emailed lots of friends not one emails is going. 
An unknown error

However i can send emails to myself. 
i have 2 email addresses and can send from both to myself. 

any other ports or setting i cant even send to myself.

i checked the source of the sent messaage and it was delivered using LMTP server20.simplewebserver.co.uk esmtpsa 

I had called simplewebserver a few times and they says it is not their end.

A customer is unable to access a particular website www.contoso.com - which of the following steps are helpful in solving the problem?

Appears to be a classic case of wanting customers to have to buy something besides what they want!

Vintage new $50 4000 is now selling for $350!!!  That should tell MS there's still plenty of demand for it.  I've tried others,  I sent Logitec back 10 minutes after I opened it.

Anybody heard word on whether MS is going to replace it with something kinda identical?

Since this morning I cannot open any of my mail attachments in Live Mail.  If I save the mail I can open it in their respective program. Why can I not open my emails in my email program? I have received a pdf and document (office) file attachment but neither opens.

Please help. However I am elderly so when explaining please explain point by point.
