Question about Outlook Express

Suddenly in Windows Live Mail, my gmail will not download my mail and I get the message that the sever has rejected my username/password.  Now I am not sure if the password is the same that allows me to access my gmail online in my browser?  My gmail was working fine in Live Mail in Windows 10 until I had not accessed it for two weeks while I was out of town and did not take my laptop with me.  What can I do to correct this issue?

I am trying to import my AOL mail contacts in to MS Mail 10 (or the People app, which I understand is the app that interfaces with MS Mail 10 but I can not figure out how to do this.  This has nothing to do with Outlook at all, so let's not talk about Outlook.  Does anyone know how to import my address book with hundreds of contacts in to  MS Mail 10.    Thx

I have been using windows live mail since 2011 without any problems until now.

I check my emails several times a day and yesterday I opened my email to find ALL of my emails are gone. I also had a lot of folders where I had a lot of EXTREMELY IMPORTANT emails stored and they are all gone too. The reason I have these folders is so that I can easily find all my important emails for different purposes and there is no way that I would have accidentally deleted them. I also had an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT email saved in the drafts folder which I had been working on for almost a week and it was almost finished and I was supposed to send it yesterday but that is gone too and I will lose my job if I can not recover these emails so I am totally freaking out right now!

I have tried the stupid virtual assistant that just keeps sending me round and round in circles and I finally managed to talk to someone on the phone who told me that windows live mail is not supported and they could not help me and I was sent back to the stupid virtual assistant again.

I also had this same problem a couple of months ago and I need to know if there is a way to protect my emails from this in the future because I am going to lose my job if I can not recover the emails that I have lost right now and do not want this to happen again.

Is there anyone who can help me to recover my emails please?

This is a similar query to  that I inadvertently raised on the incorrect Windows Forum in August with no response.

I am the admin. for 200 former players of our local rugby club and send them all emails at least twice a year in groups of 25 approx.
I use Live Mail 2012  and Windows 8. 
On the last email shot I forgot to change 3 email addresses that I knew had been changed.----there were no bounce backs.

Subsequently I have sent out individual emails with deliberate email address errors--once again no bounce backs

As in the past we have used bounce backs to monitor and ensure that our data base is up to date I need to try and correct this problem.

I do have a little used gmail account and have checked that there is bounce back there but would much prefer to remain with Live Mail.

Can anyone help please?
