I had office 2007 and just recently decided to take the plunge and get Office 365/2016. Now I can no longer open Word/Excel docs attached to an email in Windows Live Mail without FIRST saving to my computer. This is really annoying to me and time consuming. I don't save all my files to the My Docs folder, I would never be able to find anything. Every doc goes to a specific folder. Now instead of quickly opening a doc attached to an email to see if I need to deal with it immediately, later or can quickly copy and paste without saving the doc ... I have to save it first, then open it, then tell Word to let edit it ... soo many steps. I am on the verge of going back to Office 2007.

Are there permission settings in Windows Live Mail. There aren't any in Word that I can find.
