My new Win8 computer says MS .doc and .exl attachments are 'prohibited type'.  It automatically deletes them without even giving me an opportunity to check.  I know they are not viruses.   When I ask for help it says it must remove the virus safeguards but not recommended.  I don't want to remove the virus safeguards but I want to get the files.  What do I do.
