Below you can read the answer of the two dopes who work on this site. One, Marvelous Merc, informs me that there is a limit to how many emails I can send out -- BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SEND A SINGLE EMAIL from this account which was blocked since inception. The 2nd numbnuts sends me back to the help desk which I have been trying to get help from since the beginning --  to no avail at all. Meanwhile, all somebody has to do is unblock my account which was blocked for absolutely no good reason, as there was no unusual activity on the account -- I just started it!  UNREAL. I am returning my windows phone that started all this, I mean, if these idiots make it so difficult to open an outlook email account, imagine how they will screw up phone support.
My Account has been Blocked for three weeks -- GREAT JOB HOTMAIL!
I recently bought a windows phone, and I set up a hotmail account for this phone shortly after, maybe 3 weeks ago. For some strange reason, Outlook temporarily blocked my account, citing unusual activity. I don;t see how this is possible, since I just started the account and never used it. They sent me to verify my account with a phone number. Unfortunately, the geniuses who set up this phone verification do not consider Sierra Leone, where I am, to be a country, and so I cannot verify my account, which 3 weeks later is still blocked. I have sent numerous emails to the help desk,  and recently I got this answer from MERC, who is an advanced specialist. This dunderhead tells me that there is a limit to how many emails I can send at the start of an account (see below). However, I have not been able to send a SINGLE email from this account, since they blocked it almost immediately.  Today, I get another message from Hotmail advising me to verify my account -- which of course I have done many times and can;t because the experts at Hotmail do not recognize that Sierra Leone, in West Africa, is a country.

All they have to do is unblock my account, which I have asked them to do many times. But that would be too simple for the advanced support team that includes Marvelous Merc. Have never had anything similar happen to gmail accounts. Now i regret buying a windows phone -- as who knows how lousy that support system is?

Hi,

I am Merc, I'm a Senior Support Analyst for Microsoft. I am part of the Outlook.com Support Escalations Team.
We apologize that your country is not listed on the country list to verify your account through your mobile phone. You can send a feedback regarding this on this page.
Regarding the sending limit, you will have to continue using the account but please note that since your account is new, there is a daily limit to your sending capabilities.
Continue using the account to increase your reputation and this limit will increase.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thanks!
Merc
