I have been saving photos automatically in OneDrive from my old Samsung phone which has just broken. Having got a new phone I look into OneDrive and find all these photos are not there, only those going up to mid-2017. Where are they stored? I thought that one of the points of OneDrive was that photos are stored elsewhere so that, if your phone falls apart, then pictures aren't lost. This would not seem to be the case and am not sure why. Due to technical reasons I couldn't move data from my old phone but, as I say, I though that was the point; the photos would always be stored elsewhere than the device. Any ideas? Or is OneDrive not as advertised?
