I have a selection of tapes on a JVC GR-D63 camera which, after a long illness, I have got around to trying to download to my new PC (my old Windows XP died on me).  I am always met with something like your connection is incomplete or turn your device on. I have tried JVC and they don't do a driver update to Windows 8. Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be most appreciated as many of the pics are irreplaceable.
