I cannot uninstall Microsoft Essentials as it is corrupted but I need to do so in order to download McAfee.  Can this be accomplished? Currently running Windows 10 which never has allowed me to use Defender and Microsoft Essentials has not run properly since downloading 10.   I have tried unsuccessfully to open Defender and to uninstall Essentials.
