I am using a MacBook Pro with software version 10.9.5. Since updating from Maverick, it seems Outlook is even worse than with Maverick when it comes to Junk Mail. Although I add the alleged domain address of every piece of junk mail to the blocked senders list under Junk Mail Preferences, i am constantly inundated with multiple emails from the same blocked addresses! I have 3 imap yahoo accounts; these are  not exchange accounts. I also get my Apple account mail through Outlook, but no junk mail there:) While there is in Yahoo Settings a place to add Banned Addresses, I can only add one at a time, which will be very time consuming.

I was also getting multiple emails from addresses that were on my Safe Domains list. After reading several other posts here, I have added the emails I received today that were not junk to my contacts list, as suggested. I hope this solves that problem.

I thought about upgrading to Office for Mac 2016, but there don't seem to be many differences or improvements over 2011. I certainly don't want to have the same issues (or worse).

Thanks,

Pat

I have outlook for Mac 2011. I have both my hotmail and business emails connected to the account which is run through Just Host. I cannot get either the hotmail or just host business account to send emails just receive them. It keeps telling me the hotmail is not recognized and server is timing out. keyboard shortcut created in keyboard preferences does not work in Outlook.

My HDD on my Mac was failing on me, so I quickly copied a lot of the files/folder to a new HDD I bought and had to reinstall everything. After this, the old HDD started to become unstable and wouldn't allow me to do a proper clone/export of files, such as my contacts for Outlook 2011.

So this is my question, how can I go about adding my contacts from my old Outlook 2011 folder to my current Outlook 2011 account on my new HDD? I tried opening it but I'm getting a "Outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity contacts" message. All I have to work with is the files/folders where Outlook 2011 saves it's data.

I have a telefonica, net and an iCloud.com email on my imac.  When I try to send an email in any of these I receive a Too many authentications  message and it will not be sent.  However, I continue to receive emails?

I have tried many sites and their recommendations but all have failed to resolve the issue.  I have changed the default port to 26 or 587, for example. Any assistance would be appreciated

I received an "auto update" for 14.5.7 today and completed the update.  However I am interested in updating to El Capitan and found out the update that fixes the issues between Outlook and El Cap is 14.5.6.  That auto update never came up.  So I downloaded it from MS site here, but it won't let me upgrade on Outlook, probably because its seeing a newer version and blocks the upgrade to the drive where outlook is located.  Will my 14.5.7 include 14.5.6?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi All,

Whenever someone sends me an email with some contacts on my address book CC'd, an orange question mark appear in front of the contact's name, and when I reply to that email the contacts with the question mark doesn't receive my reply. When I check the contacts with question mark by right-click open outlook contact option, I'm redirect to another contact in my address book.

This don't happen when I compose a new email. I've tried deleting the incorrect contact were it redirects when I open it but it doesn't help. Tried rebuilding database also since Outlook keeps prompting me to do it.
