I'm running Outlook for Mac 2011 v 14.3.6 on OS 10.8.4 - whenever I go into Contacts the beachball spins for 3-5 seconds - when I leave contacts and go into Mail or Calendar it spins again but not when I go between calendar or mail - only when i go through
Contacts. this is very annoying.
I have several users on a Office Small Business subscription and one of them ran into problems in Outlook that could not be solved. As a result, I moved him to a different machine. The new machine already had Office installed, but was licensed to one of
my other users. When I installed my current user's mailbox, all of his outbound emails carry the licensed name of the previous user even though they show the correct email address and refer to the right exchange mailbox. I have tried uninstalling Office and
removing the application reference files in the library and reinstalling using the correct user's Office 365 credentials, but it did not replace the licensed user name and still shows the wrong license name every time it opens and each time an email is sent.
Any ideas on how I can solve this? I need this user's name to reflect on the license. Does anyone know if there is a way for MS to clear the license activation on that machine so I can make sure it is tied to the right user?
Ever since I installed Outlook and replaced Entourage, I have had problems.
Now, in Outlook inboxes, you are suppose to be able to click "Newest on Top" or "Oldest on Top".
Unfortunately in most of my inboxes, no matter what I click, it doesn't change. So all of my new mail is coming in at the bottom of the list and I hate that.
Is there some way to get it to change?

How does one go about getting Outlook for Mac to remember the size, color and font that one uses for email. In Office for PC you could set up defaults for each of these items and not have to reformat every email, surely Office for Mac has this, but I
cannot find it!!!!
Hello community and mac masters :),

I need your help in figuring out this challenge: Outlook 2011 for mac cannot anymore connect to Exchange 2010.
It used to work in the past but 2 weeks ago outlook 2011 for mac stopped receiving mails.
I have a lot of experience in the Windows environment but no experience in the MAC world.
The boss has the only mac in the shop, now Outlook is not syncing anymore and I have to fix it :)
I uninstalled and then reinstalled Office 2011 - did not fixed the issue.
Testexchangeconnectivity - works, no problem here - the user and password are ok; his connection from iPhone still works.
i turned on logging from outlook but I can't find any error, I could not find nothing useful there also ...and this is why i'm asking for your help.
this is the print screen of what do I get, no connection: on the server side I can see that the user managed to log on but nothing happens.
Please advise,
Thank you,
Alex
We have a Mac user who is having ongoing issues both sending and receiving mail - she frequently (moving toward constantly) gets the message, 'An unknown error has occurred in Outlook," error # -17886. We are running the most current rev of Outlook 2011
and Exchange 2010. Just in the last 30 minutes, she has gotten the message 4 times.
We have deleted all Outlook profiles from the MS User Data folder multiple times and let it rebuild from the server. We have removed all Outlook data and preferences, we have uninstalled an reinstalled MS Office, we have completely rebuilt the Mac from
the ground up (new OS, new Office suite), and still these error occur several times a day. Sometimes mail will send right away, other times it takes multiple attempts (as many is 15-20) before a message will send. Sometimes messages will seem to send, but
instead will appear unsent in the Drafts folder days or even weeks later.
On the receiving end, there are times when her Mac Outlook will be 5-6 hours behind on mail, while her iPhone is getting everything right away. If she logs into an Windows machine, her mail works fine. Sometimes her mail will stall for days and she is
forced to revert to using OWA for communication. She has a large volume of mail, over 15,000 in the inbox alone. Filed mail counts over 100,000 messages, which is slightly below average in our organization. No other Mac user is having these issues.
She also regularly receives the error, "Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."
Could there be something wrong with her Exchange mail account or profile? It seems we have eliminated everything on the workstation side.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
When ever I try to create an event in the Calendar my Outlook hangs for 3-5 minutes.
This is a local Calendar and I am using Office 2011.
Thanks in advance.
