How do you stop the search feature in Outlook 2011? I have tried command . and a nothing happened. I also tried to stop the searching, by going to the windows, ragging to searching and trying to deselect searching - nothing changed.  It just keeps searching and the window remains  blank. All I want to do is to stop the search and get my inbox back.

Thanks, Grace
Is it possible to attach an email or emails to emails in Outlook for Mac 2011? This is an easy and useful functionality in in Outlook for Windows which I will miss having migrated to a Mac. It seems that it is only possible to attach files or pictures.

Hi guys,

This issue has got me stumped. I have a client who recently bought an iMac 27" Late 2012 Model i5 2.9GHz and 8Gb Ram and also bought Office 2011. The OS is 10.8.5 and the version of office is 14.3.8. There are using Microsoft Exchange 2007 version 08.03.0298.001 running on Server 2008 R2 Standard. Outlook is configured with an Exchange account and it seems to work fine for a day. We then start to get problems.

We are having to rebuild the Outlook database 1 or 2 times a day. We have rebuilt it many times, created brand new databases, created new identities, removed the preference files in ~/library/preferences, rebooted and started outlook to recreate the files, switched off virus scanning software so to not interfere with the folders and files, moved the Microsoft Identities folder out of Documents and stored it somewhere that spotlight or other software does not look and we are still getting the same problems.

I have searched high and low and cannot find a solution to finally rid the user of this issue.

Can anybody suggest something that I haven't tried yet?

Many Thanks
Outlook version 14.3.7
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 R3

User reports that text is missing from messages she sends. She is not editing from the Preview Pane (see this thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/outlook-2011-email-reply-forward-problem/8b5e2125-f7e4-487d-82f0-f120728252ee) and this has happened in new messages she's composed.

I have verified & repaired disk permissions, and rebuilt her identity in Office. The most recent iteration of this problem happened after those steps. I will update Office to v14.3.8 this week. The problem is not reliably reproducible - however I do have evidence of the issue.

In OWA the user's Sent Items display correctly, as she intended. They also appear correctly in her Sent Items folder in Outlook 2011. However recipients receive a message that is truncated or incomplete. I cannot yet find commonality to the missing text (it's not always copy/pasted in - sometimes it's typed - and it doesn't appear to be a formatting issue, as she's not changing the text size, font, etc. although she does use bulleted lists quite often; however it's not always only these lists that are missing; in one instance a numbered list had missing items and the list had been re-numbered to account for the removed text!).

I'm ready to rebuild her font cache and possibly remove & re-install Office, but if there's a fix or workaround I'd much prefer that option. I cannot find any evidence (in the form or errors or warnings) in the on-premise Exchange server logs. I have not yet attempted logging this user onto a different Mac to test whether the issue is consistent across machines.

Thanks in advance, I'm happy to answer any questions or clarify anything if I haven't provided the relevant information. This one is causing us major problems because we aren't certain that the user's messages are being received as she intends. I appreciate any ideas or advice.

I NEED HELP
HOW TO SYNCHRONIZE CONTACTS OF MY i phone 4 with outlook contacts
Hi,
my outlook for mac 2011 (Version 14.3.8) reacts very slowly while writing or receiving mails. I type something and nothing happens for 10-15 seconds (only the wheel is running). Then the characters appear. That  happens every 30 to 60 seconds.
I already tried it with a new identity. Didn't help.
Emptied the trash. Didn't help.
I use an exchange account and have subfolders in this account
the activity monitor shows high datatransfer-rates (outgoing)
the van of the macbook pro (2.2 Ghz / 8GB ram / macosx 10.7.5) runs very often
Anybody any idea (preferably in german :-)

Greetings
thomas
I keep receiving junk mail in my inbox. How do i keep then in the junk mail folder?
In Outlook for Mac 2011 - how do I configure it to send an iCal friendly meeting invite. I can find it on Outlook for PC 2007, but the same function isn't apparent in the Outlook for Mac 2011

Having trouble importing Apple Contacts into Outlook 2011 for Mac.  The instructions in the Outlook for Mac help function direct you to export to a vCard file and place it on the desktop.  Then drag the file from the desktop to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.  When I do that nothing happens.

The Import function in Outlook 2011 for Mac does not have an import selection for vCards, just .pst and comma delimited or text files.

Is there something that I'm doing wrong.  The directions seem so simple, but it's not working.
