Someone else prepared an ics file (probably on Windows Outlook) and asked me to invite others. When I click the invite button, I get a new window with the "From" field already filled in, but not with my email address (and not even that of the sender).
The field is a popup menu with only one choice, the already filled-in one. Interestingly, if I send the ics file to someone else with Mac Outlook 2011 and that person tries to invite someone, the new window appears without any "From" field at all. Why is that?
I tried to import .pst files into outlook for Mac 2011. The files are not transfered to the E-Mail but to tasks. How can this be fixed. Has anybody an idea?
Thanks. Fred
I used to be able to open restricted email sent to me fine by entering my domain credentials. Now when I try to open any restricted email sent to me I get: You do not have permission to open this message. This comes up right after I hit "Verify Credentials".
Any idea what this is? I have uninstalled/reinstalled Outlook and rebuilt the profile (even deleted it and remade it).
My wife and I are using Outlook for Mac 2011 for personal email and our internet provider accounts are POP ones via Yahoo. I would like to set up an Exchange Server to house both accounts but the expense of doing so is prohibitive. Can we use Exchange
Online as an alternative or is that for businesses only?
We are using Office 365 and have Outlook.com accounts. If Exchange Online cannot be used, is there a way to configure Outlook for Mac 2011 to use Outlook.com as a server-type facility?
Thanks
I have lost my Outlook for Mac 2011- multiple email accounts and folders. I have found the Outlook for Mac Database but how to i reattach to Outlook and get my accounts, inbox and emails setup. Not sure what happend but Outlook for Mac removed all my accounts
and inbox and emails. When I open Outlook just plain as in day 1. Not sure what happened or why since never touch anything but looks like had some corruption issue.
My Outlook.com account has stopped working in my Outlook for Mac. I can still access my outlook.com or other devices including web and smart phone. My Outlook for Mac has 2 x gmail accounts which are both working fine.
Have tried usual fixes including removing and reinstalling outlook.com (IMAP) account but with no effect. I still get an amber/yellow status indicator on the preferences>accounts dialogue box next to the Outlook account.
Any thoughts apart from migrate all email to GMail?
The IMAP folders of my hotmail account have disappeared from my outlook for mac 2011 email folder list, i've deleted the hotmail account and created it again but the folders still doenst appear, does anybody know why this is happening ?
Thanks
I have the following setup:
OS-X 10.9.1
Outlook 14.3.9 (on an office365 subscription)
Communicator 13.1.3 (Due the my company still operating a 2007-R2 server Lync 2011 for Mac is not an option)
In Outlook the address-list and presence is properly displayed and I can start a communicator session from Outlook.
The other way around however: when clicking on a person in Communicator the mail icon leads to Apple Mail and Calendar and contact options are greyed out. When hovering over, the message appears that I need to upgrade to an Office version that includes
Outlook, but Outlook is running next to it in the dock.
Can this be fixed or is this no supported option in Communicator with the current release of Outlook?
Thanks.
Marnix
We are using a shared mailbox in Outlook on a MAC. When I select a category to assign a task to someone else, other users of the mailbox are not able to view the category.
