Question about Outlook Express

so i can set up an exchange server account but not a POP account , what is wrong. When i click the set up an email account the window freezes and i cannot do anything else

Authentication failure: unknown user name or bad password. [Error="ProxyNotAuthenticated" AuthResult=0 Proxy=PS1PR0301MB1993.apcprd03.prod.outlook.com:1995:SSL]

Error: 17900

This has happened a couple of times before, especially when i'm overseas, but those were for short periods of time. 

But this time it's been persistent for more than 2 days already!

I'm using office outlook, I've deleted and re-added the accounts, checked the settings all correct, i've even went to hotmail website to change my password, still didnt work. but the gmail account is working fine! This is happening on both my imac and android phone app, please help, frustrating! Thanks.

For some reason, I was unable to log into hotmail from my computer (works on the mobile app). So, I reset my password. Now, I can no longer view my hotmail emails in Outlook even after changing the password in Preferences>Accounts. I'm using a MAC and Outlook for MAC 2011.

I have an Exchange Server and the folder are intact on my IMac on my desk ... but for some reason they have disappeared from my laptop.

Did I check or uncheck something I wasn't supposed to, I don't think so.  Help! (yes I have restarted it, shut it down, etc)

There is an email in my deleted items folder which i suspect to contain a virus. I have tried to empty the folder or completely delete the folder but i keep being told to rebuild the database. this does not happen when i open any other folder or send emails.

I have tried rebuild the database and also set up a new identity but the problem is still there.

I have also tried to export the data so I can set up a new outlook but the rebuild message shuts this down.

Any suggestions?

I use Outlook for Mac 2011, and my email account is an Outlook 365 (old Exchange) email account.

I like to highlight one issue in OutlookWord 2011 for Mac. I am currently using MacBook with Office 2011. My cursor seems to change the position every time I write on it. It changes from paragraph or to topBottom of screen. This is very awkward.
